You have this excellent idea of this KILLER blog post, you are sure this is it, this post is going to bring you all the traffic you have ever dreamed of having.

You sit down to write, the idea fresh in your mind, you start typing, and you can’t wait to finish it and press that keyboard to the enter button.You can’t wait to hit the publish button! Your vision of all this traffic and incoming links and comments are going around and around in your head.

Reality hits, and it’s like someone has SLAPPED you in the face. There are only a few visitors, no comments, and no links. That post was a dud! dead

Have you ever had that experience?

I have – many many times over.

Today I’m starting a series of blog posts that is going to take you through a step by step on constructing a blog post – one that takes time.

If there’s one thing, I’ve learned in all these years, when you are writing for the web you need to take time in creating a successful blog post.

I emphasize ‘create because I think a lot of bloggers tend to create a blog post as if they are in a hurry or race, you don’t have a deadline to meet. And when you read these blog post, sure enough, it shows in their writing
