My Motivation

My motivation to start on online business was financial. I found myself on disability, no fault of my own, and detest the idea of relying on our Federal government for my lively hood. Your's might be something entirely different. I have seen posts of people who wanted to expand their local business. Others who had a passion that they wanted to share with the world, with no real thought of financial gain. And I am sure there are many other motivational reasons that I have not mentioned.

First I need to tell you a little about myself. I was working the 9 to 5er with the occasional overtime. My legs and body became less and less cooperative. The company that I worked for gave me the option to work from home. This worked well until I could not attend the required meetings and I had to take a layoff. With nowhere else to turn, I filed the long list of forms to see if I could receive disability. I am grateful for the benefits but it makes me feel like I am not fulfilling my God given destiny. I decided to try to create an income using the internet.

I searched for a couple of years without any success, with the exception of spending or wasting a lot of time and money. Having found Wealthy Affiliate was my turning point. However, I soon found out that to have a successful niche I must first find that motivational topic inside of me. That was not easy because my previous experiences were hands on and I could not figure a way to make them a niche. I found something that I could be passionate about. During the initial training, and thus be motivated to see it through to success.

There you have it. My first website was published and I have been working to develop and promote it since. This post is yet another exercise to help me get over a barrier within myself. This post is intended to prove to me that I can publish articles. Even though I had no idea when I sat down to the computer what I was going to write. I hope that you can find your motivation.
