SCAM! turn and run.fast!
Michelrich asked about a website called http://jobkilling.com/ so I took a look and....man did the alarm bells go off, all of them!
If you take a look at the site, hardly worth the time, you'll find that it is everything that WA is not. The homepage has a picture of a girl laying prone aiming a paintball gun, pink sunglasses, pink bikini, lots of lipstick, you get the picture.
There were a number of videos, that I didn't bother to watch and some pictures of checks worth a few thousands of dollars as testimony to all the money that you'll make.
Like I said, everything that WA isn't, shallow, lacking content, eager to take your money and promises of the old get rich quick, and the language.....etc.
I think that most here at WA wouldn't get hooked by anything like this and I only mention it to show this site as a classic what not to do from a website development perspective as well as an example of what a really poor approach it is. And that is also good for a laugh in some ways.
I sure that at one point or another most have looked at something like this and have come close to being the next victim. I for one am glad to rather be part of the WA community.

Totally agreed! But see my point further down with regard to it being 'educational' in a bad kind of way - about niche marketing. We can all learn 'what not to do'!!!
Hey Baxter - I agreed that Job Killing is not my style and sorry - I do get a bit carried away at times! But I just wanted to make it clear what I meant!
Yep - I read on a little further and they were charging $880 for the dubious pleasure of joining their 'killing team'!!!
LOL - not sure what the whole point was really - just a whole lot of swearing, James Bond play-acting and not a lot of solid content. As I said - I didn't like it - it just interested me that there would be people who would like that kind of thing. It proved the point of a 'niche market'!!!
Hmmm. I took a brief look at it and I think that the content is well written and the site layout is very well done (lots of white space, right font size etc) but I would not join something like this.
This is just my opinion though.
Hey there - this blog took my eye, because I've seen so much b*******t online about making money, that I reckon I could spot a scam from a million miles away. For once, this site seemed to have some traction. I agree with Jay that the actual layout and style is super cool, very eye-catching and very well done. I doubt it is a scam - as in - they will take your money and run. But I do agree with Baxter that it is a typical internet marketing scenario - charging a lot of money for 'education' and promising a huge payday. Frankly, I think we are better off sticking to the solid education that Wealthy Affiliate provides than spending $880 on something that may or may not deliver on it's promises. This is 'just my opinion' too (for what it's worth!)
I guess I should have clarified also - I don't 'go' for this type of marketing or style of website. I was interested in it from a purely analytical point of view. For it's intended audience - it is a very well-done website and from that perspective - is educational.

I went there. Not enough features if any and didn't feel like it was for me-it felt like it was for them. Didn't even explore.
