Where to start...

First off I would like to say how fortunate I feel to have found this site. I've spent the first half of life(give or take a few years, hopefully give) serving my country, serving my community and have come to the realization that what I want to do most is to help people become successful by finding their passion and figuring out how to make a living from being involved in it.

When I was a recruiter for the US Navy I would do high school presentations and one question I would always ask the students was "Would you rather love what you do or do what you love?" I was surprised by the amount of students that didn't see the difference.

Fast forward a few more years and I've realized that I no longer want to have someone else determine my worth and value(monetarily) speaking. There are more important things to do with our lives that trade time for money.

I think the fastest way to get what I want is to help as many people get what they want. I don't want to climb the corporate ladder and I definitely don't want to get ahead at the expense of someone else.

The pie(internet) in plenty big for everyone, it's not about how to get more pieces of pie for yourself but how to make the pie bigger for everyone. I think this website, this leadership, management and membership does just that.

The out pouring of support at every level is truly humbling and encouraging and I look forward to contributing in a more direct way as I develop my skills through the classrooms, tutorials, practical exercises and good ol' trial and error.

If you ever need an encouraging word, pep talk or attitude adjustment don't hesitate to reach out. I am eternally optimistic, not cycnical or jaded and will try to see the brighter side of any situation.

I will leave you with this tidbit, the glass it neither half empty or half full, it is completely full, it just depends on what you are looking for.
