How do I turn the mountain into a molehill?
I have now been part of the WA community since 1st September and boy, has it been a roller coaster!
I have been diligently working through the lessons as time allows and enjoying the experience and the wealth of knowledge available. The community here and the tangible 'pay it forward' attitude is something I believe is unique to WA and is something that should be celebrated and cherished.
The Mountain

The Roller Coaster
I find myself going from excitement and happiness as I watch the video lesson to apprehension and sadness when I see that I am expected to write another post to complete the lesson and move to the next. And it's not that I can't write. Quite frankly, if I get into my stride I could talk the ears off an African elephant! It's just that I am not enjoying the process at all. I am entirely focused on getting the training done and learning as much as possible and the posts are definitely what is holding me back but is this normal because it's incredibly frustrating?
So I took some advice and started reading posts and blogs on other sites in my niche to see if that would inspire me. Sadly, it did exactly the opposite as I realised how little I know about what I chose as my niche and how so many sites out there have much better content than I am producing.
And the molehill

Very small chunks at a time! The same as eating an elephant! Any progress--no matter how small--will eat into that mountain slowly but surely! You've got this, Rab!

Don't try to second guess yourself. Give yourself a little space. Look for great keywords for your niche. Write great content and it will happen. Takes time.
Joe
Thank Joe, I appreciate your encouragement.
If there was a niche for second guessing myself I'd be a millionaire by now :)
Cheers,
Rab
I think it's common for most of us her in WA, that in the beginning we felt like we have chosen the wrong niche, that's why of thinking that way i bought another domain then i made another niche which i felt i have more knowledge of creating valuable content in it. The first few months are the most challenging for beginners because we thought we couldn't make it. Just continue with Kyle's training and all the trainings we have available for us, and once you finish them your level of confidence will be boosted, we will learn like an expert. I was being motivated by the story of Kyle the founder of WA, that it took him 3 months before he could earn his first $3.50 just like you and me he felt a little discouragement about his progress but he was determined that he could achieve his dreamt goal, but then finally he made it today as the founder of Wealthy Affiliate together with Carson. if Kyle had stopped because of his slow progress then, he could not be who he is today. Thanks for sharing this to us, and good luck to your success in the online business.
Hi Francis,
Thanks for the encouragement,it means a lot.
I will keep pushing myself to get better at creating content.
Cheers,
Rab
Hi Rab,
What you are experiencing is 100% what many others here have felt too when we were first starting out.
Writing is a craft, and it takes a bit of time and practice to get it right. I can tell by reading your post above however that you are a very capable writer.
In my opinion, the reason you have been able to communicate so well in this blog post is because there is some emotion behind it. You are a little frustrated and you know how to write about those frustrations.
I think it will help you a lot if you try to write your website posts in a similar way. Perhaps think about what motivated you to write the post in the first place, and if there is something in your article you feel particularly passionate about.
Posts that come from a more personal perspective stand out, and they read better too.
Like I say it's all about practice, but eventually you will surprise yourself at how well, and how easily you will begin to write.
Regards
Ray
Thank you so much Ray, I really appreciate your feedback and advice, will take it on board.
Yes, I do believe I'll get there but just not 'feeling' it at the moment.
Oh well, no one said it would be easy :)

Howzit Rab,
I must admit I have the same problem, everytime when I see just write another post, AH! but I do all the other things then just make time for the Post easier said than done. I am at this stage just now , but tommorrow is 'D' day so I must get on or I am stuck. You"ll pull the Rabbit out of the Hat, your Blog above is a prime examply, " YOU CAN "do it.

Thanks Murray, I really appreciate your encouragement and belief.
I finally managed to get that lesson and post finished and published it yesterday. Now I have to do another one in Lesson 7 so no time to congratulate myself! :)
Oh well, no one said it would be easy and it certainly beats the oil patch so I'll keep going.
Good luck with yours too, I know how you feel so we will bungle bye together and get there in the end :)
Cheers,
Rab
Pleasure Rab, if I can help I will.
Not heard the Word Bungle used for such a long time.
Cheers
