Progress so far: Course 2, Lesson 10

So today is the last day of February 2017. It has been 1 month after became premium member and actually started the WA training and working on my first website. Also it was about 2 months ago I finally joined WA after reading and thinking about it for few months. I finally did it.

For me, every step that I made is a success and something that should be proud of. I have been suffering from depression and anxiety for many years. As a result of that, I quit my job as engineer exactly 6 months ago. I was an engineer for almost 15 years. Well, it is partly because I was also slowly losing interest in that profession but still I stayed put for a number of years as I thought the time was not right yet for me to leave if I want to pursue other interests full time. However, due to personal reason that has a toll on my mental health, I had to make that decision.

Now here I am. Beside continuing being a writer and pursuing the artistic side of me, this time doing it more seriously, I have also decided to be part of the 'online business'. Having WA as the platform is the right choice. It has great mechanism in place, especially important after I have decided to be a freelancer. WA provides sense of direction and helps me focusing on the objectives of this new 'career'.

Deciding on a niche is not difficult at all. I always knew that I have an artistic side. To write on fashion and other things related to it is a call. To do it as an outsider as I'm not coming from the fashion industry is of course a big challenge. But still it makes me want to do it even more as I know there are things missing in the industry that I can use them as my niche. Using diversity as general theme, I want to show that all kind of guys deserve to look good, live good and feel good, and this lifestyle is not only for certain typical guys as often portrayed in the media.

My plan for the coming months is to have more quality content and to make sure the niche that I have chosen becomes clearer in the website. Of course at the same time I want to start earning from all the efforts that I put into it. Further down the road, I want to be more than just a writer of a website who is also an online entrepreneur. Not only I want to be known as an established and respected writer in this field, but also I hope this experience will lead me to other opportunities and projects such as being a consultant, stylist, designer, etc.
