Hi everybody. I need an advice. I am planning to go narrow into my niche, ploughing every time a little segment of it - till I'll be able (in a distant future) to run the site d

thanks Vitaly, and remember that we are all here for one another, Andy

Hmmm not sure on this one:
Segment V Niche....There is nothing to stop you targeting a niche with a segment orientated domain name and having the site title and description tell the story...for example if the segment was running for beginners and runningforbeginners.com was available (it won't be) and you concentrated on running for beginners- a guide for women, then you could build out your niche and then add another niche such as men, in middle age, over 60's etc. I can't see any harm in that...subdomains are neither one thing or the other, and won't do the job though...whereas different categories and sub-categories on a site which already has Google love might work...
does that make sense? Best wishes, Andy (now following you!)

Yep, I feel a logic here :) Thanks for following, enjoyed reading your aboutme page.

I agree with dembler!

It is my opinion and experience before being a member of WA that subdomains will not get you the traffic. Purchase (and I know I hate the idea of having a lot of domains) a separate one for each niche .... even if they are closely related. I did have a maine domain and then sub domains under it and the search engines could not find me .... now I know because of WA. I am of the mind to make "neat" and orderly websites so it was REALLY hard for me to realize this about sub domains but the training here really is correct on this point. Hope this helped?

Thanks a lot, it was pretty comprehensive and to the point - even if I am not loving the direction... I hoped to avoid this, but you're right, subdomains are really not an alternative :)
