Time to change things up.
So, I've been laid off for the 3rd time in the last 5 years!
You do the work. You invest yourself in the slave mentality. You show up and give 100%. You know you do a great job and nobody can do it better. Unfortunately, someone will always do it cheaper and that seems to be appealing to the companies that pay your salary.
My industry, the Copy/Printing industry, is finally starting to go away. I've been doing it for 20 plus years in some capacity or another. I've tried to keep up with the digital side because they've been talking about society going paperless for a long time. However, I've found that the pay has been steadily decreasing. Especially over the last 5 years or so. They don't want to pay a livable wage anymore. Plenty of jobs to be had with no insurance and little pay and certainly no guarantee for any long term commitment.
This is what has brought me here. I've searched for something online before but every time I try, I feel taken advantage of. Free turns out not to be so free. "Low cost" turns into just a sales pitch and you never really seem to get anything for that "low cost". I signed up here at Wealthy Affiliates for free. I checked out what they have to offer. It seems legitimate. I went ahead and upgraded to premium so that I can take advantage of everything this site has to offer. It seems like a fair deal for the price.
My payment is my commitment to make this my job. No more making other people money. No more answering to someone with less knowledge about my job than me. No more commuting 2 hours a day. No more getting by with a lousy paycheck. No more paycheck to paycheck! It's time for me to step outside the box and live freely.
This is my time to shine!

Hi Steve, I feel your pain! I actually quite my horrible job in February of this last year but I am tired of making other people money. If you want something to further help you along your path consider purchasing this book, "From Newbie to Millionaire." It's my bible and WA is my roadmap! You can do this! Best of luck to you!
