Hi guys, I have a one month old domain and I would like to have my content under different brand. When I created it, I wasn't pretty sure about my niche and I chose something t

No, you can't change your domain. You need to register a new one and then transfer your site to it.

If in doubt, you can always use the help tab at the top and put in a ticket to Site Support! They are always happy to help, my friend!

Jeff

Thank you, Jeff!

You're very welcome, Ivo! It's happened to me a time or three!

Jeff

Hi Ivo, hope you are doing well. Changing a domain can be challenging for a larger site or one that’s getting significant search traffic. For newer sites it’s not too bad, but it does involve moving your entire site over to the new domain.

You can use the “move” feature inside the site manager and it will prompt you to choose domain you want to move it to. If it’s a free siterubix domain you should be able to set it up there. If it’s a domain you own, you’ll need to register it first.

Make sure to back up your current site first.

When you move your site to a new domain here, all of the 301 redirects should be done automatically, but you’ll want to check that links to your site and internal links between pages are pointed to to the new domain.

Having said that, if you delete your old website from the site manager, or let your old domain expire, any links that were originally pointed at it, will no longer be redirected to your new domain.

If you have a significant number of links or high value links coming in from other websites that you don’t want to lose, you’ll need to maintain your old domain and keep those redirects in place. For a new site it’s not usually an issue but it’s something to be mindful of.

Thank you so much, Jay! :)

Just to add one more thing, if you're already set up with Google Search Console and/or Bing Webmaster Tools, you can use their Change of Address tool to inform both search engines that your site has a new domain.

Sorry, I don't have a tutorial handy for doing that. It's been a few years since I've done it so it's probably a different process anyway. But I'm pretty sure Google and Bing will have their own updated tutorial which is infinitely better than my instructions :-)

Jay, this information is very valuable itself, I wasn't sure if I can keep my search engines ranking and indexing. Thank you!

Even when submitting a change of address to the search engines, it can still affect rankings and traffic significantly.

For a newer site, it's not so bad because it doesn't have a ton of backlinks from other sites or highly-ranked pages for tough search queries. So the hit won't be so bad.

I had an established site that I moved to a new domain, and even when submitting to the search engines and maintaining the old domain and redirects, I lost most of my rankings and traffic. It took two or three months to gradually recover.

It eventually surpassed the old ranking and traffic numbers, but of course, I was adding new content consistently at the time.

I get it. I have a newer site, and already got indexed by search engines , it's not going to be an issue, I guess. Thank you again, Jay :)

Yeah, for a newer site, no worries. It will be indexed relatively fast, especially if you're doing it correctly.

To delete a siterubix subdomain | or dot com if applicable, click details on the subdomain in question in site manager, onward next page, scroll all the way to the bottom and click delete.

Then you may go to Site Builder.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/build

Choose a free domain, a domain you own, or add a new one, enter credentials and follow the procedure.

I'd save up any work I have done and if relevant.

Thank you, Abie. I assume I'm going to lose all the indexing and ranking in search engines once I move the content to other domain. Btw, would I still have access to the content I've created under the previous domain? In the SiteContent I mean, to publish it in new domain. Or I'm going to have to write it again?

Hello everyone. Does someone know if I'm able to round corners of images in some simple way? I can click on "rounded" while editing an image, but there are no radius options.

I do in the WA blog posts, but haven't really needed to in my website!

Jeff

Thank you :)

You're very welcome, Ivo!

Jeff

you could add it as a custom html block if you know html - then you can style it how you please....

Thank you. Adding the Gutenberg block editor was the solution, it adds more image style options.

if you have added the gutenberg plugin then just check that it is stable releases you are accessing - i know there is a plugin to allow users to try out hte prerelease versions of gutenberg that are not stable and not recommended for final sites...

Thank you, that would not be desirable. How would that play out? So far it seems to be working.

just had a look and hte one you have installed is ok - it is the plugin just called gutenberg that allows access to hte beta versions...
so you are good with the plugin you are using...

Thank you!

Thank you, I get it and I made it visible by the rules, but I have to say, it sucks. I've literally had to spam my beautiful articles with those announcements :D

Amazon are very strict and have a lot of rules.

When you have met your sales target of 3 sales in 180 days they will inspect your website before they give their final approval.

If they find even one example of a rule being broken, you will be removed from their program.

Thank you again!

As Diane says, use Amazon's recommended wording (which used to be much longer). You need to show it near to your actual affiliate link. (I show it at the top of any landing page containing an Amazon affiliate link).

Thank you!

Hi - you have to use Amazons exact wording in every post that has an affiliate link.

"As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases"

Thank you!

Hi everyone,

maybe someone can help me. In the WordPress editor, I have a few post lists. When I set the number of visible posts on one page, it just cut the other posts

Thank you, Abie! It's about splitting the post itself, I'm trying to find out how to split a query loop, but I'm going to search the site, maybe I'll find it there.

Ivo

the pagination should be there automatically - your theme may be stopping it...
https://wordpress.com/support/site-editing/theme-blocks/query-loop-block/
what happens if you select to show 1 post...
you know you can have more than one query block on a post/page...

GOT IT!

I had to add a Pagination block in the Post template of that Query loop, and now when I limit the number of posts displayed, it shows me the pagination!

Thanks a lot, you can't imagine how it irritated me :D

Ivo

you should be able t oclick on screen at thetop of the posts list and set the number of posts displayed within your wordpress backoffice...
if the number of posts you have is less than the number it will display you only get one page...
or if you select published posts and this is less than the number, again you will only get one page...
but it shouldn't be hiding posts from you...

That's exactly what I did.

Let's say I have four posts, if I set it to show max five per page, it will show all four, if I set max three per page, it will only show three and I won't get to the fourth one because it won't offer me to go to the next page.

Weird.

worth getting in touch with support...but not too much of a problem at the moment....

I agree. I've put 99 posts on one page and it's solved for now :D

Thanks for your response!

Hi everyone. I need an advice of the more experienced ones. Do you have personal experiences with The SEO Framework and All in One SEO (AIOSEO) plugins? To be honest, I like AI

I (mainly) use AIOSEO but honestly it doesn't matter. They both report some useful statistics but other than create your sitemap, don't actually do anything.

I personally prefer AIOSEO. When I built my second website I just deleted the SEO Framework and installed AIOSEO.

Thank you

if you like aio then use it - you can always change it later if you feel it is a bit intrusive...
the only thing an seo plugin should be doing is to add the meta data for each post...
and maybe adding the analytics code...
everything else is extra...
and unecessary...
only there to confuse you and try to make you write for the search engines...
which is why i use seopress...

Well that is what confuses me a little bit in AIOSEO. It has so many recommendetions for "improving" the content for search engines. I wasn't sure if it's necessary, your reply made it a little bit clearer in my mind. Thank you :)

as you have said - they are recommendations....
so don't try to 'get it perfect' as it will be tailored to hte search engines not the visitors...
i don't know whether yo can turn them off- but if you can try it for a few posts and see how you get on...
you could add a plugin that is a prepublish checklist - you then add items to check before you publish - so you are happy with hte post..

Thank you :)

The reason that WA recommends the SEO framework is because if you use the AIOSEO you will be bombarded with messages to upgrade to the pro version
I changed to the SEO framework for this reason

Barry

Thank you :)

WA recommends the SEO Framework, however you may have another preference here, the bloating is less than the AIOSEO

I'd carry on with the SEO framework.

Thank you :)
