My plans with my 3d printer

A while back I mentioned about my 3d printer planes n one of my blog post, I was using my 3d printer then all a sudden we have issues with home electricity so my parents are going to hire an Electrician soon but for now with have to adjust to our Energy usage every time I use my 3d printer the power would go out

So I have to wait until the power is fixed?

not waitig lol so my plan was to find another way to use my 3d printer I'm using a cad software with my printer to use on my projects I was on YouTube when saw this video

On solar energy for 3d printing and l saw solution to my electrical dilemma the YouTube video looked very interesting so I started do research on this idea

I was searching on solar applications to use my ender 3 off grid what I learn was there are few types of batteries

. Seal

. Flooded

. Gel

.lithium

Doing my research and I understand that gel is the safest battery to use indoors the second safest battery is lithium, the most dangerous battery is flooded because it contains sulfuric acid and I don't feel confident about that so I went with the gel battery the lithium battery has thermal runway it can leak witch isn't safe so again that is the reason why I choose gel battery

There was a component I was doing research on and I can use this instead if a battery but to use this device it always has to be sunny and I need to move my solar panel around if it gets cloudy or the threes get in the way this device may be useless but with a battery I can still use my 3d printer when it is cloudy or the sun isn't around for a time like when it starts getting dark

I almost have my off grid solar system set up just need a couple of more cables it's a little steep for my wallet but I spread out my purchases over a few weeks and I do some surveys online to pay for most of my things I'm using for my project I spend 20 minutes couple of times a week because I'm. On a tight schedule

why I like my 3d printer

I use the ender 3 it a simple 3d printer there are better versions in the ender series printers but the ender 3 free gets the job done you have to be patient with it lol

Also the ender 3 is a very popular so it has many tutorials and trouble shooting videos so if I one has an issue with these kinds of 3d printers you have a lot of support

I did some painting jobs and I thought of a few techniques to get the job done faster and I have gotten some nice compliments from people on the job site saying that I should patent this idea a few times so I thought why not give this a shot that is the reason I bought a 3d printer it cost only $180 so it's not that expensive.

my thoughts on octoprint

I use a SD card but people use a system called octoprint but there are a few issues with octoprint vs just using a SD card one of the issues is security I have to give my home internet password to use octoprint not a good idea because if somehow my system gets hacked all my personal information will be. In grave risk like my passwords and banking information

Also people that use octoprint like to use a camera to view their printing this is also risky because a hacker can have access to your camera and might cause a fire when you are not around plus if you are making a brand new product from as scratch like an invention idea the hacker might see it through the camera steal your idea and patent it before you do and get all the money and credit I will stick with my SD card no thanks.
