Hi there! =)

I'm a 1977 "Yin Fire Serpent" and Scorpio (if you're into Astrology at all) - middle-aged Autistic (Asperger) Computer Geek with ADHD...
(which basically means, " - I think all the time - ") that spent most of my time "growing up in front of the Computer", which later in life turned into a career as a Systems Administrator and IT Architect, only to lead to a pretty severe "burnout" in the beginning of the new millennium, when I was working 80hr weeks in Silicon Valley...

Eventually, I had no choice but to return to the place I grew up, South-Eastern Sweden, as I was laid off, went through a rather lengthy worker's Comp claim case, my work VISA expired so I couldn't find employment and eventually I ran out of money.

Years ago now, I decided I "want to be my own boss" and poked about trying to find ways to make money online. Due to some unfortunate circumstances though, my plans had to be put on hold for over a decade. Among others, I was "offline" from the Internet Community for years after a break-in where I lost all my computer equipment and couldn't afford to replace it (no valid home insurance, so I didn't get a penny as compensation) and now I'm back, in a new apartment since Jan 2019, new computer gear, and looking to develop some pretty interesting and challenging ideas that have been "brewing on the back-burner" for years... about starting a BLOG, setting up a new YouTube presence, and developing a WebSite that I believe could grow into something of a "Community" if given enough time and resources/marketing to develop.

So yeah, that's my story, in a nutshell.
I might also mention, I'm sort of a Buddhist. =)

If you have any curious questions, feel free to drop me a message, just don't expect an immediate response right now, as I am "dealing with some life-stuff" and have to limit and prioritize my time spent at the computer. I -will- get back to you though, it just might take a week or two for me to respond.

Excellent goals Jake. Your goals are about similar to mine when I started at WA but I have already reviewed and updated them a while ago.

Everything is possible at Wealthy Affiliate Jake, so I look forward to seeing you achieving them. Please do not hesitate to contact me at any time you have a question or need any help, okay?

Best wishes of success,

John

Hi John! =)

Love the Peale quote... I'm shooting for Jupiter's Moon "Europa", that's "A" moon, at least. If a bit farther off than Luna. =P

Yeah.
$3,000 USD/month is about what I was taking home back in 2008, at my last job, so I want to reach at least that, so I can get stuff like a gym pass, a bicycle, proper food and not have to live off of RAMEN noodles twice a week because I can't afford to go shopping, some new clothes... You know... basic life necessities, that I cannot afford at the moment.... (currently on welfare, which sucks so hard...)

But yeah.... I figured something out that I will attempt to accomplish... They (Kyle/Carson) extended the "Premium Discount Time" by 7 days, so I will try to purchase a "pay-as-you-go" re-chargeable MasterCard when I get my next "weekly allowance", if the shop I saw them at still has them, and charge it with $20 so that I can take advantage of the "Premium" account discount, at least for the first month... Finger crossed it'll work out, I'd hate to have to miss out on such a great opportunity! =P

Great goals Jake,

The first step to achieving success online is to set some goals and now that you have done this you can start working towards them. Your goals are absolutely achievable and realistic. Dedicate yourself to working through the training, taking action, and getting help when you need it.

I am personally here to help you and there are many others within the community that will reach out to help too.

You are already doing great, keep it up!

Thanks Joe.

I'd be happing earning what I made last time I was employed, which was around $3,000/month, anything above that is just a bonus. Anything is better than barely scraping by on a welfare check. =)

I decided years ago that I "want to be my own boss" and working from home would allow me to accomplish just that. (I also really need to learn how to set work/free time -boundaries and have some routines, something that's "easier said than done" I've realized, when you're me, and love spending hours learning new stuff at the computer... haha.).

I've been dreaming about starting up my own business and making my ideas and projects a reality for a long time now, and finding the Wealthy Affiliates Community has been somewhat of an eye-opener so far. I had no idea there were so many others out there that had similar dreams and goals. So I'm looking forward to interfacing with the community here, and making my dreams a reality! =)

Thanks again for your support!

Right on Carson, thanks for the encouraging words!
=)

I must say, it feels really good to be given the opportunity to become a part of a community that's goal-oriented and where people are so supportive, where I can find others that share similar dreams/goals and interests. I can't thank John enough for putting an invite to W.A. on his website!
(Now I just have to figure out a way to pay for a premium membership, I think I have a sneaky idea on how to put some money on my PayPal account so I can hook that up, I'll have to look into it in during the week to come, before the "Premium special offer" runs out!)

Peace!

Hi, there Astro,

I would personally like to welcome you to the Wealthy Affiliate, and I'm sure you will enjoy being part of our friendly community.

For sure it will all seem surreal at first, and that's OK. Don't be rushed or feel intimidated by what you see. Just take your time in familiarizing yourself with everything.

Once, you're OK with everything, mossy over to the training and let the most adventurous journey of your life begin.
There is lots of training, but don't become distressed by what you see, as it's all laid out in a manner that's easy to follow. Plus, it will take you from one step to the next.

It's all formatted to help you work with bite sizes of training, and as you move through, you'll see all the jigsaw pieces' start falling into place. And that's when it all starts to make lots of sense.
If you are new to Affiliate Marketing, then be prepared to give yourself time to learn and understand how it works.
From the outset, allot small goals for yourself, as you achieve them, make the next set a little harder. In other words, be realistic in expectation of yourself.
Something in training have you stumped? Then we've got you covered.
All you need do is ask. With such a fantastic knowledge bunch they'll guide you through the problem and have you back on track in no time at all. Having been in a similar situation themselves, they understand how it feels.

Final Note.
What's happening currently with the Corvid 19 is profound, and in one way or another, it has impacted the way we all go about our daily activities. More notably, and quite noticeable how people are changing their buying patterns. The online global market is in the thrust of exploding. And Affiliate Marketing will lead the way to move forward.
All the best and I wish you every success in your newfound venture.
