I want to be able to login to my wordpress for my website outside of WA. How do I do this?
You have to create another Administrator name and password, one which is for you only.
Go into Users - New, add the required details and different email to the other, you can always change it back later.
Save it, log out and relogin, then delete your old username. Use http://YOURSITE.com/wp-login.php to login again.
During the process it will ask if you want to add all posts and comments to your new username, click yes.
*Make sure you set it as Administrator or you won't be able to login.
*Your username can be your name since it's associated with you as the author, which links to all your posts.
*Make sure your new password is very strong using letter, symbols and numbers - hacker safe.
Hope that helps.
you need to know your login which normally is admin but you also need your password. I found out you can actually get your wordpress password from WA support. If you don't want to go through WA I have no idea.

HI Ya'll. On my personal website, I had a comment on one of my posts stating that they noticed that your my On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all thr
That's spam, usually spam comments tend to not say anything relevant to your post. Look for a name and look for something that says something relevant to your post
Sometimes they have a name and say something like your content is fantastic. That's spam too.
You don't want spam comments on your site as it can effect your rankings in Google.
You will see a ton of SEO stuff and weird things. lol :) I hope I helped :) All the best!
.
Pure Spam. Just get rid of it. Like Vicki said, they want you to click through and purchase. Unless the comments looks legit to you, just trash this kind of stuff. These bots go through and spam thousands of blogs at one time.
Yes you can it is spam and they are wanting you to click through to there site an buy something I get it all the time, I just delete it. Don't know how they find us so fast and no one else seems to!! LOL
Prayers Vicki
Seems irrelevant to your website's content so it's spam. Kyle made a video on how to identify spam comments. Watch this for more info: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-remove-spam-comments-from-your-wordpress-blog . I just watched this video for one of the lessons here at WA.

I just got approved for my 1st affiliate program that I applied for for my site, now what do I do? It seems a little overwhelming, but I know I need to get it incorporated as fast
Hello, Amanda. You should have gotten a link to the affiliate program where you can sign in with your information that you gave them when you applied for the program. Then you write a post or add images & links to your website. You don't have to add anything to Google, if you have been approved by them already. I hope this helps, if you need more just let me know> Good luck!
You need to get the links for promoting such as ads or banners etc then add them to your posts/pages
Most companies that have affiliates have a special page that provides banners, text advertisements, email ads etc. for you to use. You use these to monetize your pages or posts. They can be inserted in widgets or linked to words or phrases in your post content that is related to the product or service you are promoting.
Some will give you banners and ads like Carla mentioned, I have some that never sent me anything like that, so I just did a post and linked there site to mine. I hope that is they way to do this. Some have HTML codes that you insert into your site.
Hope that was somewhat helpful.
Kim :))
How do you link the HTML codes in your site, is that with a text widget as well? I would really love to get Google analytics into my site so I can follow my progress and see where I need to work on
In your edit page, you have two tabs in upper right that says visual and text. Make sure you know where you want to put it on your page, then go to text and copy the HTML code and paste it in your text page. Do an update, then go to visual. You may see a gray box or nothing at all sometimes depending on the code link. Do a page preview to see how it really looks.
Kim :))
You figure out where the banners and ads are. You pick one you like that fits your site and then you get the code and put it into a text widget. This way, when anyone clicks on the ad, you get the commission for whatever they buy at that particular store. You can also incorporate the text links into your relevant content, especially a review.
Add a banner on the side and in your content provide links when appropriate. BTW, it's a good idea to use Pretty Links plugin, it makes your links look sweet. For example ?.com/affiliate4529647-kjuns can look something like this ?.com/scrapbook.
Hope that helps
If it were me I would stop and make a plan. You have applied for an affiliate link and you don't have a purpose for it is sloppy. however applying for an affiliate link knowing where is many things you can do is another. Sit done write an objective of what you want to achieve and how you can best achieve it. The affiliate link may be superfluous after all
I would write an article that includes whatever item you are hoping to promote in one way or another. You could do a review, comparisons, or reference it in an article. This is an exciting step! Best wishes!

What is the best option to help someone that has commented on your personal website about plug-ins to use and help on their personal website? It is not a WA member it is someone wh
Sounds like Andre explained it well. I know it can be hard knowing that you can't trust everyone, especially when we are so new and excited about sharing our hard work. Just be careful and, like you did today, reach out and ask the community. This place is filled with amazing people eager to help :)
Definitely, positively, without a shadow of a doubt send them your link at WA, with a blurb about how much you're earning. The residual on a member under you is $22.50 a month when they become premium!
Go to the Affiliate Program link on the left side of your page to see how much you can make bringing in WA people. Very lucrative!
Some great advice already... I would definitely go for commenting in the comments section or sending them you affiliate link to an article here at WA :)
Andre (Apache 1) explained it well. It is probably spam. I get these all the time about plug-ins and giving advice. Most of it is trash and that's what I do with it. BE CAREFUL!
Hover your cursor over there web address to see if it is a legit site. If not delete it is not legit.
Why don't you just answer them in a comment, it if is longer write a blog post here and direct them to that
Hi Amanda
As your website is about Scrap-booking do you use any pluging within WordPress yourself.
If you do you could add a blog post saying that you creating your website through Wealthy Affiliate and you can get the plugin through WordPress which Wealthy Affiliate use.
If you don't use a plugin try a couple there may be of further help to you anyway. You could then include them as well.
hat way you are incorporating both WA and your scrap-booking without it looking out of place.
But as for the comments on your site be aware that some as Steve said could be just looking for back-links.
Some are not worth the effort check them out if you are not sure they place a copy of their response here for others to give you an answer.
Otherwise it might be best to delete as they could be spammers.
Take care wishing you well
Andre

Great info! I had no idea about the back-link thing yet :) Most of comments I have received were basically loving the content and saying they wanted more so I was thrown for a loop when I had this one asking about a captcha plug-in. Didn't know what to do!
Be also careful when the sentences don't make sense or those Nike shoe ones delete those. It happens you will get use to them just look at the emails address and in particular their web address. Never reply unless you are sure they are for your good. As always ask here with a copy of the details if not sure better to ask and be safe then take a chance and be sorry for it.
I just has a look at your site well done I also noticed you have mentioned in there that there are design layout coming.
This could also be a place you could introduce WordPress and the plugin that you got from Wealthy Affiliate and incorporate your link in there just in case someone else would like to create their own Scrap book site.
The layout is wonderful you have truly done a wonderful job there Amanda congrats.
I just sent you a comment on your site as well to start it off.
Take care
Andre
Thanks so much Andre! I appreciate it. I am putting a plan together now and deciding what topic I will go on. I just got approved for my next affiliate program I applied for as well :) So now it is rolling! I do believe I will do my design layout page and introduce WA. Thanks for the advice!
Planning ahead and taking it slow so I don't screw the progress up :)
Go for it you have done a great job now so continue doing what you do best that is being you. Enjoy
Andre
Even if it is a backlink seeker, you can remove their link in the comment section and still reply to the comment on your blog with your affiliate link., Others who visit your site will read your reply and see your WA ref link. Sometimes the message is read by someone other than you originally intended, and that's fine too. ~Jude
Why not. Check out Kyles post here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/wa-affiliate-program/getting-your-comments-to-convert-phase-5-lesson-2
It's pretty common for people to ask about what plugins or themes you use for your site. They're just looking for a backlink I believe.
You could mention in your About Me page that you learned to build your site at WA and use an affiliate link there :)
Hi Steve! Thanks now am I automatically signed with the WA affiliate program or do I need to do the bootcamp or anything else?
You're a member, if you get someone into WA you get the credit. I would do what Steve suggest!
I think Kyle had a post about using comments somewhere. If someone has asked, then why not create a blog post in answer to that question and tell about WA and use your WA affiliate link to see if you can get a referral.
