Time Management defined :

the ability to use one's time effectively or productively, especially at work.


I have yet to gain the skill of TIME MANAGEMENT.


Everyday I wake up and I say to myself "What needs to be done today Ashley?"

Then I focus on 2-3 things and I get them done.

After that, its like a giant blank space in my head.

The Productivity is gone and I think I know why...


I Don't effectively manage my time !

I plan things that need to be done SAME DAY.

I have no pre planning skills, no calendar, no schedule on what my day in tales.


I am responsible for 5 children every day but is that going to be my excuse forever? That I am too busy with my babies to Organize my Time and My Life ?


I won't allow myself to lean on that false reasoning any longer.


So what steps do I take next to Learn as a Beginner how to Manage my Time....


Would anyone please share their FIRST experiences with Time Management and possibly how to plan with a big family ?

I use alarm on my phone as reminders for me about my teaching schedule for the day, or for when I need to make a phone call, take vitamins or medicines, etc.

My husband print out a blank calendar where he can write down things to do, bills to pay, etc.

If you have a journal, that would be a good start to write down goals for the day, week, or month.

Hmmm I like the alarm idea. I do that sometimes when I have an appointment that I feel like I will forget. Setting alarms for my daily to-do's may be a good idea for me also.

Time management is a difficult thing for many of us... I have a spouse and a granddaughter whom we are raising and I still have difficulties. I usually make a list of things that have to be done that week. If I don't get them done they remain on the week list until they are complete by that end of the week. It isn't perfect, but it does make me see all that has to be done and gives me a deadline.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. But at least I can visualize the things that need to be done for that week. Sometimes I get really daring and set out daily tasks from that list! LOL
