Where to Begin?
I am writing this blog post more for me, what I mean is I feel I am a good teacher, listener, and talker, but I teach better than I do. So please feel free to comment and give me your thoughts.
I have only been with WA for a short while, I joined the community so I could help others as well as get help where needed. This forum is filled with awesome people and I believe to founders to be genuine people who care about others. My goal is to help others as well, and while doing this I hope to achieve knowledge in areas where I lack, and skills that I find hard to master myself.
When you ask yourself, where do I begin, you must take an inventory of where you have been and where you want to go. The one big thing I have learned from talking with and reading those who have already been successful in this or any business, is that you have to have a direction, a GPS so to speak, that will tell you where you are going and how you are going to get there. So in this post I want to look at these two things.
1. Where have you been? What type of work have you done in the past? Has it been fulfilling or was it just a paycheck, because if it was just a paycheck you probably never really became as successful as you could have. If it was fulfilling, you probably did pretty well, and in that case take what you have learned and bank it, it will grow interest and be beneficial for you in the future.
2. Where do you begin? That is easy, at the beginning, just kidding, but still kind of true. If you are embarking on an online career, and since you are here I assume you are, you need to start at the beginning. Start by looking for, and you really have found it here, like people, people who want to do, and or are doing, what you want to do. Seek out people who will be willing to help you, I say help not do it for, listen to them, ask questions, and then put their experience to work for you, this is allowing you to draw on their bank of knowledge and the interest they have earned.
One of the best place for much of this knowledge is right here in the getting started lessons and then the Affiliate Bootcamp. If you follow along closely and take each step seriously, and ask questions whenever you feel stuck, do not stay stuck, do not let yourself get frustrated.
By the time you have went through the training you are well on your way, so what I am going to say next may be a recap but please humor me. Start from a place in your heart of serving others, look for things that will make other peoples lives better, and this will improve your life. Start by being excited about your business and committed to your business no matter what. Find ways to keep it exciting and commit a designated amount of time to it each day.
Now the hard part, do not fall for every scheme out there, move away from anything else that can distract you including social media other than how it can help you with your business and during times, away from your designated working hours. Turn off your cell phone, except for business, remember this is about your future.
Plan you work and work your plan. I like to think about it like I work for myself and I give myself daily tasks to follow, I work better trying to create myself a disciplined work environment. Stay on task, at least as much as possible, and try to find a way to measure your daily successes. That can be small successes like completing a blog post, or helping someone else solve a problem, or even launching a new product. I even get excited when I get new comments and follows.
These are just some real basic things and places to start and this may or may not be beneficial to you, however, if it is please leave a comment or question and know that I am always willing to help and if I do not know the answer I will do my best to help you get it. Remember I, too am learning so the more I help you the more the more you help me. I hope to be posting more often.

Thank you, I have a long way to go, I believe I can do it, my struggle is with my family that believes I cannot and that I am wasting time an money. My wife is scared because she feels we cannot spend any money on things she sees as a waste, it is causing some problems at home so I have to make this work fast, and that is not how this business works.
Arthur, yes, it won't happen over night, that we become successful and can earn money - in any business. It needs a lot of work, determination and a great willpower. If you have a very deep wish to succeed, then you will succeed - it just depends on how much patience you have to follow through. Here at WA you certainly have the possibility to get awesome trainings and you can always get motivation and help from the friends in the WA-community.
I suggest, that you start with the "Getting-started"-Course and follow that. You can do this for free - but then you don't have the possibility to communicate fully with the community. You can also choose to be a paying member: The first month at WA costs only 19$. You can try this month out and then decide if you want to go on at all - or choose to pay monthly or go premium. I believe it is worth it. Try to cut some other costs - then it won't be a problem, I think.

This post was kind of testing the water, to see if I could gain some interest. Still trying to figure out that one niche, that I can be good at. I love to teach and train, and love to learn, however, I struggle with all this because my mind keeps racing, time is an issue and it should not be, and I am all over the place.
Write down all of your ideas on a whiteboard or something so you can get the big picture.
Rank the ideas as to how much you know, how much you care about the topic and what your desire is.
Then do a bit of keyword research around ideas in the niche and see what develops.
If nothing else it will get you familiar with the topics and help you to focus on making a choice.
Thank you for the advice, I for sure need as much as I can get. I have tried some of that, but is hard to explain where I mess up and why. I am still trying to figure out why I can teach better then I can do. I could train people how to manage a retail store and they would do well, yet when I was managing a store I did not follow those things I taught, it sound strange, there is something not completely right with me but I will find a work-a-around because I have to make this work.
