Lesson Learnt, be authentic and be yourself!
I have been working my way through Bootcamp since the beginning of the week and have started a niche site for business. I was so pleased after day One to have a site up there and lots of content and videos plus my link backs to WA as an affiliate but something didn't sit right. As I was doing more and more research I was finding the title of my website was up there with not so reputable sites, ones where they are asking for your sole in down payments. This made me feel very uncomfortable and started me asking questions about where I wanted my website to be and how I wanted to inspire visitors. That is what I do in my real life, I am an artist and tutor and inspire students and those I come in contact with to live and create their potential. I am used to uncomfortable as a part of a journey but this was something else, I felt I was moving into a zone of the scams, even though my content was genuine those around were not. I know it happens and you over time prove by the content of your site and the passion you put in move those others out of the way but I felt this would not have happened.
So I looked at what I had. Took out the good bits of the site, which was most of it and re launched under another name. What a difference. It feels authentic and I don't mind who shares it. Something to build upon as I only started it a few hours ago! I can move forward with it as part of my brand too! Most of my other sites or blogs are .....2inspire so this feel right.
So, the moral of the story is make a site and if after time it doesn't sit right with your mojo re-write re launch, move forward.
