It's Taking Longer Than Planned
I started WA at the end of last year (2015). After reading Kyle's encouraging words, I was ecstatic to start my own online business and begin making income off of it. Like he said, I was expecting to make money after the first few months (3 or 4 approximately). Well, here it is October 2016 and I'm only on Course 3, with $0 income/profit made and $47/month (10 months) decreased from my bank account. (Has anyone else experienced this too?)
It has been minorly discouraging, but I haven't given up by any means and am only striving harder to make my first dollar.
There have been times when I have simply procrastinated, been lazy or done something else when I could have taken the small amount of time and worked on my WA stuff. I now understand my weaknesses better and am using what I have learned about myself to better myself and my online business. But, more realistically, I think the reason it has taken longer than expected to gain financial success here at WA is because life happens. Between my other job and other obligations and adventures that I dedicate some of my time to, and the eight hours a day that I must have to sleep, my time is cut short. There are some weeks where I don't touch my computer at all, while there are others where I have more free time than normal.
With all that said, I write this post to encourage myself and the other readers to keep going and to believe that you will see your first dollar soon. And I encourage us all to keep working hard, making a little headway each day (or each week if daily isn't always an option). But BELIEVE in yourself and in your vision and then put the small amount of work into your vision. Even if it's just an hour a day, every hour pays off. Promise yourself that it isn't for nothing and you WILL see a result in due time.

I admire your determination to succeed! There are many factors as to how long it can take and everyone has different influences. But the main thing is to keep plugging away and learning every day. Getting other (Successful) folks to give advice on the sites is also a bonus. Which is why WA is so good. Everybody loves to help.
I'm glad that I found your blog post... I felt exactly the same.
I started here March 2015 and a couple of months later... $0... six months later $0... on the seventh month $2.52... after a year $0... and then, I decided, as you, to keep going.
But I realized that I was learning different things, so I decided to sell some services (WP Hosting, SEO content writing)... not exactly aff marketing but I made around $100/month so I can pay for my membership.
Since a few months ago, I've been making $100/month from affiliate marketing.
I think we should keep going... if others can, I'm sure we can... it's just about focusing, learning from our mistakes and be consistent... we just probably started with the wrong niche or we are just not putting too much effort.
Would you want to keep going? if you persist, I'll persist... and in a couple of months, we will be writing success posts instead of learning experience.
Yes I am persisting. I'm back today! I encourage you to persist as well.
I do think, however, it is important to be realistic and not just "dreamy" about what we spend our time and money on. So if you do decide to persist in this endeavor, make sure to put much thought (and prayer if that's your thing) into it so you are confident about your decision to move forward.
As for me, I'm persisting! Are you going to continue?
Yes, I am ! And as you said, with our feet on the ground, I'm pretty sure we will succeed !

I've heard of success stories within the first month here at WA and sometimes I've heard people taking a couple years to achieve success here at WA. It all boils down to your Niche, the quality of your content, and your willingness to always work a little bit harder than yesterday to grow.
Strive to be better than you were yesterday. You will see an income sooner or later. I've been here almost one month, Haven't earned a penny yet. But I understand it may even take a year or two before I can get an income via my website.
From what I've seen it just takes time and dedication. :)
