First off, I am NOT actually going anywhere - except to bed.
I woke up feeling quite ill yesterday. It was bad enough that I was running what would be considered a fever by normal standards, though I usually run cooler than normal. So, I called my doctor and got an appointment for today.
Not only do I have the flu, I also have a chest infection that is
" bordering on pneumonia." I am now taking antibiotics along with Tamiflu. He also asid that my uvula (the piece of flesh that hangs down in the back of the throat) is extremely inflamed. The quick strep test came back negative, but he sent off a culture to be sure.

I never do anything half way. When I get sick, I get sick!
Lots of rest and lots of liquids are called for, so I am going to heed his warning. The last time I got sick and pushed myself, I ended up in ICU with pneumonia for a week.
I will check my messages as I feel up to it. I will miss reading everyone's blog posts and helping out with questions. Rest assured, I will be back when I feel better.
