AT&T to Start Rolling Out New 5G Service
AT&T announced yesterday that it would roll out its 5G service to three markets (Atlanta, GA; Dallas and Waco, TX) by the end of this year. The service is said to be five to ten times faster than current 4G speeds. You can be certain that other cellular service companies will soon follow suit!

So what does this mean for you? It means that you need to make sure now that your site speeds for mobile are at their best. You don't want to miss the 5G audience who will likely click off even faster if your site is lagging in speed!
If you haven't already done so, it would be a good time to start using a responsive theme or consider adding the AMP plugin (or both) to ensure you are ready for this rollout.
I'd love to know your thoughts on this. Comment below!

You know how much I love (or, should that be lothe!) technology! Stands to reason that they would be upgrading. All the other suppliers will be scrambling to keep up, I imagine. Guess I'd better find out how to check the speed of my site. Carol
You have time to figure out before this happens, but Google will actually be making it part of their ranking method soon.
Figures they would change speeds. Like everything else, upgrade or fall behind. I suppose that was the only thing they could do to sell their products comparable to the Apple phone. As you can tell, I am not that big on upgrades, but that's ok. Life has been good with and without it, by the way, just in case the AMP plug is on my tool kit. Thanks Anita.
Xav.
It will be a while before I upgrade my phone, that's for sure!
If you have the AMP plugin, then you should be set.
Thanks for stopping by,
Anita
In the WP Dashboard, go to Plugins, then Add New. There will be a search box. Search "AMP". Then when it comes up click on "Install". Once it's installed, click "Activate."

Thanks for the heads up Anita, it may not apply to us here in SA, as we are normally way behind with tech,
But I certainly will move toward being compliant as I do have a worldwide audience, with it being the world wide web and all.
Thanks again, all the best in going forward.
Gary
