Kind of curious about something
So I have had my website up for around 2 months now and so far I have not made any sales. I currently use eBay's affiliate program because I heard they pay higher commission rate than Amazon does, however, I am kinda thinking now, would visitors be more likely to purchase an item if it is through Amazon or does it not matter? I don't wanna sound discouraged or too desperate to get that first sale, I am just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this.

This is my opinion, it doesnt have to be true. Depends on the target group, i mean location and demographics. For example people from the balkans buy from aliexpress. You should check from where your target group usually buys.
But above all, it is good marketing strategy that you have. Try to read the reviews with your buyers eyes.

I think you'll find more people buy more products especially on a regular basis from Amazon than ebay. I have accounts with both, but most of my online shopping goes to Amazon.
I guess I will give Amazon a try then. Thanks
