My Source of Inspiration
Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T.Harv Eker has been my inspiration since 2006. I have read this book over 1000 times. I read from it or if I have some real free time I read the whole thing nearly every day of the week. I would suggest that anyone who desires to be wealthy should join me in my dedication to this book.
This book delves into the mindset of people who are rich and who aren't. He has nailed it I believe. Your beliefs, your fears and your actions are all defined in this book. If you truly seek wealth then this book will explain how to go about accomplishing it. Harv will teach you about commitment. If you are not truly committed to an action then chances are you will never accomplish it. That action can be anything from relationships to wealth and everything beyond and in between.
Here are some things Harv points out in his book:
Rich people believe "I Create My Life."
Poor people believe "Life Happens to Me."
Rich people play the money game to win.
Poor people play the game not to lose.
Rich people are committed to being rich.
Poor people simply want to be rich.
Rich people think big.
Poor people think small
Rich people focus on OPPORTUNITIES.
Poor people focus on obstacles.
Rich people admire other rich and successful people.
Poor people resent rich and successful people.
Rich people associate with positive, successful people.
Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.
Rich people are bigger than their problems.
Poor people are smaller than their problems.
Rich people are excellent Receivers.
Poor people are poor receivers.
Rich people have their money work hard for them.
Poor people work hard for their money.
Rich people act in spite of FEAR.
Poor people let fear stop them.
Rich people constantly learn and grow.
Poor people THINK they already know.
I would suggest people here who are struggling to make it find a copy of this book and ABSORB it. It's a small book but it has big implications.
I believe the very act of being committed is the single most important thing a person can do to be successful...Regardless of what it is they wish to accomplish.
The Greatest Power that any individual has is the Power to DECIDE. Decide today the course of your hearts desire and commit yourself fully to that course. Failure is not an option to the one who is committed.

aRBie, I really like this book too. I actually met him in person at a seminar in Vancouver (he used to live in North Vancouver) that he presented before the Millionaire Mind came out. He is a very charismatic and smart guy. You are right, everyone should read this for one of their self development learnings

Yes, yes, yes! That's a terrific book, and I may just need to reread it. Thanks for the bullet-point summary. Did you ever read The Millionaire Next Door? Great stuff there too...my favorite was the Texan's remark about those who are just poseurs: "Big hat, no cattle." I think of that often when I meet people who think a wealth mindset is about conspicuous consumption and putting on a show.
