One of the benefits to working at home to me is the ability to listen to whatever I want and not worry about what my coworkers say about it. For me, it's a great motivator no matter what mood I'm in. I just pick music that complements that mood and I'm off and running.

It tends to keep me focused on the task at hand. I'm not really sure why, but it always has.

Is it the same for you? If so, what do you like to listen to when you work?

Lately for me it's been Regina Spektor, Ben Folds Five and Soul Coughing.

Enjoy your music and keep on whistling while you work! A happy, healthy and prosperous 2013 to you!

Thanks, and same to you! Best of luck this year!

Hi there. I haven't heard of Soul coughing so I'll have to check them out. I don't play music while working w/ my WA tasks just because my feeble brain requires too much concentration, but I do listen while working out. sometimes I play Two Steps from Hell. I know the name sounds like heavy metal but they produce movie soundtracks and much of it is really moving and get up and go music perfect for swinging around those dumb bells. Off to check out "soul coughing" perfect sound track for my house right now....my husband is home sick and is coughing right this minute. - Lisa

They're a band from the 90's4, founded by a guy named Mike Doughty. Their genre is called "Deep Slacker Jazz". It's kinda talk-sung lyrics with jazz infused instrumentation. Right up my alley. =)
