Enjoy the Journey
This morning, I was an awesome Mom!
My son's bus didn't come so, I called the bus terminal to find out what was going on. Come to find out, his regular driver is out on bereavement and the new driver is having challenges. They sent a bus by our home to grab him. Nice! I could have easily let him stay home, complain about the system, and go on with with a grudge. A phone call was all it took and...
+1 for team Mom!
His regular bus driver is the best! We live in the Northeast United States and needless to say, it can get a little nippy on some days. The driver lets my son stay in the house and will wait for him to come out, even when my son needs to grab just "one more thing". So, when Mr. Terrific Bus Driver didn't show up, Super Mom to the rescue.
The point of this blog post is that, it's easy to take things for granted but when you slow down and take a moment to reflect, you will realize that you already have it pretty good and every moment is an opportunity. Even just writing this blog post, I found a few new things to appreciate.
The awesome bus driver,
....the opportunity to show my son that I cared,
..........the excellent responsiveness of the school and the bus company....
It's all about the journey. Enjoy the moments and take steps to making your best version of you a reality. Each step adds up to the big picture. Take the time to appreciate the small "great" things that happen and you'll realize that
