Real vs. Fake Comments: How to Figure out What is Real and what is Not
Maybe you have some plugin that already filters out comments, but if you want to know how to tell what comments are real and what are fake, read this.
I've had my website for a little more than a month and I've gotten about 60 comments, but only about 5 of them are real comments. At first I was excited about getting comments, it meant that my website was getting more popular. After getting more comments, something started to seem fishy. There was something in common in most of the comments.
I found that most of them were fake comments.
How did I find out?
Well, you can obviously tell that comments like these are spam.
I see your site needs some unique & fresh content.
Writing manually is time consuming, there is tool for this task.
Just search in g00gle for...
or
You have got interesting content here. Your blog can go viral, you need some initial
traffic only. How to get initial traffic??? ...
And now here are some of the comments that were harder to tell.
I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your blog.Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like this one these days.
I needed to thank you for this very good read!! I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it.
I have you book-marked to look at new things you post…
I like what you guys are usually up too. Such clever work and exposure!
Keep up the wonderful works guys I’ve added you guys to my personal blogroll.
These comments seem like good comments, but they are fake. It seemed a little weird for people to how much they like my website, even though i just started. The keywords that definitely assured me that they were fake were things like, "I really enjoyed this" or "Such a good read" or "Very clever work" or even "A very humorous style of writing". Now the posts on my website are mostly lists and pictures and not to many sentences, so they definitely aren't "clever" or "humorous".
Now if someone comments on your article and they don't say anything specific or they just say they really liked your article or blog, it's most likely a fake comment.
Hope you like this and found some use to it.

There are some people that are after business themselves, as I have had. I had some genuine comments, where they asked about what I was writing about on my website and requested more info about a particular product/ subject, which I dutifully answered, however I have had comments like you mention above, and then when I answer them they then reply with a ". I can help you drive more traffic to your site". Of course for a fee! I have deleted those comments and only reply to legitimate comments/ questions.
Yeah, at first I was approving some of these comments, then I started to see similar ones and then I deleted all of them.
