A negative point of view

Hi everyone!

I tried toeto overcome the feeling of frustration as a beginner because I felt so "poor" in inspiration and original ideas. So I decided to listen to other affiliates' advice: read, learn and practice as much as possible!

I looked different articles related to online business and I was really overwhelmed by the multitude of materials!

There are a lot of positive articles full of strong recommandations, but there are also negative points of view, may be much more invitingthan the possitive ones, may be because they are challenging in different ways...to say so.

So I want to share with you some thoughts about such a negative material.

I'm talking about somebody who chose to focus on the less pleasant parts of WA programe.

I'm going to mention some of the "major issues" :

1. "They do a good job of making it sound so easy". Wow!II was haunted by that feeling ttoo. So, what's next?

2. " People will make no money in affiliate marketing and will likely give up". In my opinion, this is the correct statement:" They will give up so they will make no money obviously because they fell the test of patience and persistence and, most of all, they failed to understand that WA is not a money machine but a school with a great structure and programe.

3. You will have to devote several months before you start seeing any sort of income. So what seems to be the problem with these several months?? Most of us had to go to school for so many YEARS to build a solid education! Yes, there is the financial part, but it's reasonable enough.

4." If you can't think of one single thing that excites or interests you, then you are going to have an uphill struggle if you plan to make a go of it in affiliate marketing ". That' s hard to believe! With so many available videos, suggestions and guiding materials it's easy to find and explore a domain of personal interest.

5.To build a competitive and professional web presence requires a great deal of experience and/or resources". Is this supposed to be scarry? That's why I joined the programe: to learn, right?

6.People should not believe that all the process is as easy as it seems to. I think that, if you're passioned about it, it's not very difficult even if it takes hard work and this point is clearly specified from the very beginning.

7. And finally:" I recommend WA if you go into it with realistic expectations and are aware of the sacrifices and suffering involved with being successful as an affiliate marketer".

Too pessimistic point of view, but we must have realistic expectations indeed. That is a MUST! A learning process can't take place overnight. It takes time, patience and persistence.

Are the founders of WA programe too optimistic, supportive and positive? Yes, they are! Is there a problem with that. I' d like to find out your opinions :)

Hi Mary,

I pretty much knew it would take time and not be easy. I didn't expect to make money right away. I was actually surprised how quickly I started getting sales! HOWEVER, I still don't make much. I am finally making income however after the cost of membership and my domain.

I can see that it works though! I would be making more if I had put in more time. I know exactly what I have to do to make more money here. I just have to do more of what I have already learned and keep learning, and keep adding content.

I am starting my second website after two years working on my first. I have had offers to work on the websites of local businesses and finally have two premium referrals so now I have a monthly residual income! It works but it does take a lot of time.

It is very hard to say if being positive is misleading. Sometimes I agree that it is made to sound a little easier than it is. That is completely a matter of perspective though. When I am getting traffic and making sales I can't believe how easy it is! When I am at a low point with little traffic and no sales, it seems very discouraging and it feels like it will take forever to make good money here. Likewise, it is impossible to answer the inevitable questions people ask when they start of "How long until I will make money?". That depends on their niche and how much interest there is in it, how careful they are in picking their keywords, how much content they add, how often they add it, and many other variables.

The best way to think of this I think is the following: this is a long term investment in education that will give us the knowledge to build a real business. This is not a scam or MLM that requires selling to friends and family. It is a real business. It will grow over time and you will have something of value that you can continue to add on to or even sell to someone else. You will also learn skills you can apply to get local jobs in SEO for local businesses. The membership fees here are also soooo much cheaper than any other form of education. It is a wonderful value and I feel it is very much worth the time and money.

I have been here since June of 2014. I have used the teachings here at WA to build my online presence for my business and for affiliate income.

Here are my thoughts on these seven points you may have encountered in your research. Maybe this will help others who check in:

1. "They do a good job of making it sound so easy". Wow! I was haunted by that feeling too. So, what's next?

WA makes it easy to get a website up and running. Kyle does not claim instant success. That is up to you to follow the training and pick a niche that will rank based on your research and the parameters set in the training.

2. " People will make no money in affiliate marketing and will likely give up". In my opinion, this is the correct statement:" They will give up so they will make no money obviously because they fell the test of patience and persistence and, most of all, they failed to understand that WA is not a money machine but a school with a great structure and program.

Yes, most people will quit because they have never worked for themselves and they are not disciplined enough to turn off the TV and get to work. When one's dream is big enough, and the vehicle for change shows up, then WA can help them to achieve what they may be looking for.

3. You will have to devote several months before you start seeing any sort of income. So what seems to be the problem with these several months?? Most of us had to go to school for so many YEARS to build a solid education! Yes, there is the financial part, but it's reasonable enough.

Yes, it will take months to start to see results in traffic and monetary rewards.

4." If you can't think of one single thing that excites or interests you, then you are going to have an uphill struggle if you plan to make a go of it in affiliate marketing ". That' s hard to believe! With so many available videos, suggestions and guiding materials it's easy to find and explore a domain of personal interest.

Agreed! The best way is to share a passion that one has. Certainly, that can lead to affiliate relationships and income.

5.To build a competitive and professional web presence requires a great deal of experience and/or resources". Is this supposed to be scary? That's why I joined the program: to learn, right?

That is what WA teaches, to create a professional looking and a page one ranking website if the training is adhered to.

6.People should not believe that all the process is as easy as it seems to. I think that, if you're passioned about it, it's not very difficult even if it takes hard work and this point is clearly specified from the very beginning.

Agreed!! Working at something you are passionate about is easy, working at something you are not passionate about may be called a job.

7. And finally:" I recommend WA if you go into it with realistic expectations and are aware of the sacrifices and suffering involved with being successful as an affiliate marketer".

I don't know about suffering, but realistic expectations are laid out from the start here in the training. WA can't always control claims that its members may make to bring in new members, but hopefully if they do that is cleared up through the first few lessons.

Sacrifices will come in giving up some recreational or non-productive time to create something that will be long-lasting and potentially lead to all kinds of new opportunities.

Yes, some members will come and go, but they will do that no matter what program they try. They are just looking for the fast buck. And WA is not it!!

When I found WA I went with my heart. It appeared to be good and I took the leap of faith. I am not sorry I did!

If you help enough other people get what they want you will have everything in life you want. - Zig Ziglar paraphrase
