How To Jack Up Sales By 40%
The answer is "Social Proof" aka T.E.S.T.I.M.O.N.I.A.L.S
I've been looking into ways to hack some triggers to increase sales and this particular point made me want to know more. So, I'm going to share with you what I found out.
In the book "Influence - The Psychology Of Persuasion" by Robert B. Cialdini, he wrote about social proof. The principle is that people are looking for what others are doing or saying when they don't have enough information. If others are doing it, they recognize that they should be doing it too.
Nielsen a leading consumer research firm, from their survey says :-
- Consumer reviews are the 2nd most trusted form of advertising.
- 70% of people trust online reviews.
- 92% trust word of mouth over other form of media advertising.
What can we do with this information?
1. Whether you are selling a service or product, create a testimonial tab on your navigation bar. This will help potential customers to see what others have achieve after using your service or product. They will see real people saying good thing about what you are offering.
2. On your sales page, put 20 of the best testimonials in between your order button. Refer the image below:
How to get testimonials
Ask our customers at the right time. Either when they are happy of when we have provided them a free awesome bonus.
Be transparent. Let them know that you will be using their testimonials within your page.
Make it easy for them. Ask these kind of questions:
- How did you feel after using our service/ product?
- How would you rate our service/ product?
- What is the significant impact that you experience after using our service/ product?
- And what ever you can think of which is relevant to what you are selling.
What we can do with the WA review page
It you have gone through the "Bootcamp Training", you will be coming up with the "WA review" page, right? So, what we can do to help increase conversions of our pages to up to 40% is to add a testimonial tab. For those who are reading this post, I suggest that you write down your experience and testimonials so that we can build the WA social proof.
Hope that this post have help you guys, even in a small way.

Good one, In my profession people do not want to disclose their identity. So I have tried to but some examples of my experiences with my clients hiding their identity.
Taking what you've learned by researching consumer statistics and using it as a way of boosting income is an excellent marketing strategy. Great Job!
