Hello everybody! I just decided to join Wealthy Affiliate today after two months trying promote 'Amazon product' by myself without success.
A month ago I joined WA as a guess and had some conversations with the community. I do not recall where and what they were. Now let's rebuild our new relationship.
I used to be a Cobol programmer analyst for many years, just retired two and half years. Life is so boring when having nothing to do meaningfully, so I decide to make some extra money by online business. At first I thought it is not difficult because a lot of people can do it. But I am completely wrong! I build social media sites including: face book, face book business, Google +, Google business, LinkedIn, Thumblr, Twitter. I can lead traffic to my landing page http://supdealonline.com/ . However for 2 months with more than 500 visitors but no sales at all.
Someone please tell me what I should learn from WA first.

Also, I suggest that you change the interface of your website to make it more user-friendly and trustworthy. People judge your credibility by the looks of your site.
Simply asking a few questions here at WA should give you tremendous ideas and you can check other successful members' websites as well for ideas.

Hi Anthony,
You need to focus on what your website is actually going to be about. If you do not have a niche then I suggest you follow the Affiliate bootcamp training at WA.
To make the interface user friendly, you need to organize your content clearly in your site. To understand how to organize your site and how to build a website follow the WA training they are very thorough on it.
If your contents are properly organized and only if your site seems authoritative you will be able to convert traffic in to sales.
I suggest you check out a few websites of the people who are making decent money here at WA.

First off let me congratulate you on your decision to go Premium, that is actually good faith. My advise to you is something I got from a wise mentor, focus on your passion initially and the money will follow. Give it all you have first, get yourself good content and you will see the money coming in soon!

I used to program in COBOL too - I still remember what it stands for - Common Business Oriented Language.
You will learn little by little here. Don't get discouraged. Just follow along with the training. It may take several months before you see your first sale. One thing I can say is to always have patience. We live in an instant gratification society, but if you let go of that and just trust that eventually it will happen, then it will.
Thank you Stephhill - I am surprise to find out that I have 48 'followers' already willing to help me not to learn from me since I registered as guess member back in February. I like this community! May be I can learn some useful thing from here.
