So many to choose from! I sometimes look hours before deciding on a theme and find out it is not really what I needed! Try previewing each and look at the details! My 2 cents! Happy hunting!
Most importent; make sure your theme is responsive (mobile-friendly). You can change your theme when ever you want, so the best thing I think is to try with the one you like the most and if you get issues with it you can change to another one in a few seconds. I started with a very simple free one, but have switched many times since then, and now I want to get a different one. It is hard to say what will suit your site without trying it, so start playing around with different themes until you are satisfied
For your first site, I would stay very simple. Remember, Google sees content, not pretty pictures. After you get more comfortable working with WP, you can get a little fancier, but I would use the KISS principle for this one! :) S
