How Important is your Health ?

HOW IMPORTANT IS YOUR HEALTH ?

The real question is, how important is your health to you ? and the answer to that question will determine how successful you are at achieving a level of health that will either contribute positively or negatively to your overall health and well-being.

You can contribute to your overall health as much or as little as you want, but whatever you decide to do to contribute to your health... it will show in the results that you get, or in the progress that you are looking for and expect.

Your results will determine how you feel both in mind and body.

If you don't try at all, or if you try very little to improve your health than your lack of effort will give you very little if any positive results at all. So than should you really wonder why you don't feel as good as you think you should ?

If you don't feel as well as you think you could or should , than you are probably right

You are probably not where you could be health wise, if you are concerned about your overall health and well-being, and do not really apply yourself to the task at hand.

If you are not that concerned about your health and you believe you are exactly where you want and need to be health wise than great!

Good for you... But don't be complacent, and do as much as you can to maintain that health, because we know that everything around us gets old including you sooner or later, and as we age just like a new model car and new bottle of wine that eventually gets older and becomes vintage..

Like that old car we can get rusty and break down...

But if we maintain that old car, it can still look good, feel good and run great

When it comes to how I feel, I try to listen to what my body tells me, for example if you eat something that you think is okay to eat, and than you get an upset stomach afterwards, that's your body telling you that what you just ate wasn't okay, that's pretty obvious right.. Or maybe not.

So now you have a choice to make, do you listen to your body and avoid eating what just made you sick or do you ignore what your body is trying to tell you and continue to negatively affect your health?

What you do next is really up to you, isn't it?

That's just one example of how the choices you make can affect your health, there are many more.. Listening to your body can help you contribute to your overall health and well-being in a positive way if that's what you want.

It's important for you to listen carefully, because it is a major way for you to contribute to how much you can enjoy life, and how much happiness you can get out of living, because how we feel contributes in a major way to how happy we are.

Nobody really wants to feel bad but sometimes we just get a little tired of trying to feel good, and so we give up trying,

like most anything else that's worthwhile in life it does take some effort to get to where we really want to be.

but on the other hand it takes very little effort to do what's bad for us, that's why so many of us choose to do so many things that seem effortless, and easy but are so detrimental to our health and well-being

Sometimes we just don't feel like struggling or putting in the effort or time, even if doing so improves our lives.

Most of us would rather just sit back relax and give in to some of lifes so called pleasures, like eating what we want and drinking what we want whenever we want. Why?... because it's so easy to do, and it gives us that temporary feeling of satisfaction, and happiness...

Until the body starts to reject our bad habits, and than we don't feel as good and aren't as happy anymore.

But some of us might be determined to continue with an unhealthy lifestyle anyway because of how easy it is to do... Or they might feel helpless or feel there is nothing they can do.

But if you are determined to do things the wrong way even though you might know the harm it can cause you..You also have the ability to channel that determination and effort towards something that can do some good for you.

The ability to try hard at achieving something is within all of us, we just have to wake it up and point it in the right direction.

Sometimes when we wake up in the morning we don't even want to get out of bed.

It just seems like it requires too much effort and we just don't look forward to the work and the ups and downs of every day life that lie ahead of us, and so now we need some determination.

We have to point ourselves in the right direction to successfully get through the day and we make that choice to get out of bed, and do whatever we need to do to successfuly get through the day... Day after day.

Some days are easier than others, but no matter what, we don't give up, because we feel like we just have to keep trying.

We might feel that it's the only choice that we have, even though it's not the only choice, but we convince ourselves that it is.

In a similar way we can also convince ourselves that our overall health and well-being is just that important to us and that it's the only choice we have, and worth the effort.

It's up to us to make that decision. People can tell you how, and even tell you what you can do to improve your life, but they can't decide if, or when you will do it... That decision is up to you.
