Before learning about digital marketing, I never really thought about the difference between regular online content and paid advertisements.

However, learning about PPC (Pay-Per-Click) advertising , I realised how common it actually is. PPC ads appear almost everywhere online , whether on Google searches, websites , YouTube , or social media platforms.

Personally, I think some PPC ads work better than others because of how relevant they feel. For example, if I search for something online, and then later see an ad related to that topic , I am more likely to pay attention to it . It feels more useful because it matches something I am already interested in . However, when the ads feel random or unrelated , I usually ignore them completely .

I also think that trust plays a big role in PPC advertising. Sometimes advertisements can feel too exaggerated or overly-sales focus, which can make people less interested. Personally, I am more likely to click on ads that feel clear , realistic and trustworthy rather than ads making huge promises that sound too good to be true .

Another reason why I think some PPC ads perform better is because of how quickly they grab attention. People scroll through content very fast, especially online , so ads only have a few seconds to stand out . In my opinion, ads that are simple, visually appealing and easy to understand are more often effective than ads with too much information .

At the same time , I think audiences have become better at recognising advertisements online. Because people see so many ads every day, businesses have to work harder to make content feel relevant and interesting, rather than repetitive or overly promotional.

Overall, I believe some PPC ads work better than others because of relevance, trust and timing . From what I noticed as someone online, people are much more likely to click on ads that feel useful and genuine, rather than advertisements that feel overly pushy or unrealistic
