Being Social....Seems to have become a Rant- Sorry
I'm not a very social person, if you don't count clubbing. I'm also often times hindered from success by my own fear. It is sometimes fear of not knowing, fear of failing, or some other 'genuine' fear.
I started online when I was probably 17 or there about. I was energized, pumped, I was gonna show my dad that I could do it. In the following years I did MLM businesses and online businesses that didn't seem quite right but weren't outright scams (just those, too good to be true types). I took calculated risks and though I got burned, I think I missed most of the flames.
Since my last venture online I became weary of sharing anything socially because I feared that people, like me who were seeking an opportunity, may buy into something I was doing and hence any financial failure to them would have been a direct result of my promotion.
Also many Jamaicans, the ones I know, are broke and either refuse to or can’t afford to spend anything on making their lives financially better, oftentimes they seem more interested in the get rich quick opportunities that often results in them being burned.
Now, don’t get me wrong I'm really loving WA and want to promote it and share it in my social networks, but that fear holds me back. In addition, since I hardly go out, I hardly meet people to share this with and those I would consider sharing with wouldn't spend the cash. Maybe it's even fear of being ridiculed.
It seems I've gone off on a rant and I'm really unsure of the direction this blog post is headed or even where I had intended for it to go.
I think I’ll stop here, if you've made it this far thanks, I’d really appreciate some feedback, your thoughts, suggestions, maybe even sharing a similar problem.

Hi Angeline, fear has also held me back in the past and still does at times, but I am now determined to not let it beat me!. Once you are aware of it just put yourself out there a little bit at a time, think baby steps one at a time. What I always tell myself is feel the fear and do it anyway!
HI Angeline, I understand where you're coming from. Do whatever you think is best for yourself, first and foremost. Stick with your job if you've got one, and you can always be with WA anytime you want and do it slowly. At present I haven't told a soul among my family and friends about my website yet, but as soon as I get ranked, and I get a sale, then I would share it with them. If they see it now, then fine, I'm going to tell them I'm into IM. It's already out. As long as I believe in my contents, then I've got nothing to worry about.

People make their own decisions. You cannot be responsible for the success or failure of someone else when promoting products as long as you're not deliberately promoting something which is a scam (which clearly you wouldn't be).
As for sharing socially. You don't have to promote to your friends and family. I have made new social networks. It may have been slower, but that was my choice. :) Beverley

Don't try to please your dad or anyone else.Just do your best to please yourself stick to what you want and work it.the rest will come.
It's more like proving my dad wrong than pleasing him, I've done a lot of displeasing in my short 24 years. Thanks for your thoughts Crystal
