Got started

Well, I got started with my website? But I'm worried I have not posted enough articles be very well placed on a geneal Google search. Not the usual worry about not doing enough but because I have so much difficulty with trying to enter text (both with a keyboard and with a headset) it is taking me too long to write even one article. Or rather it is taking me too long to finish since I am having to type each word out a single key that I hunt-and-peck as I have to look at the keyboard each letter at a time. But I am doing my best to continue to write content, though I've questioned if I could continue to expend so much effort for no results. I also didn't mean for this post to be so dark so sorry about that.

All I've really thought of by way of ideas are a comparison between Decoart Amercana craft paint and Liquitex acrylic paint because they look and behave so differently. Other than that I have a range of different art supplies but I bought them for use in Adult Coloring books. I am also frustrated with the paper I've needed to use because I've had to glue several pages together to try and soak up different mediums. I've seen really beautiful results for the Dylusions ink sprays but whenever I try to use them with stencils it looks a mess. That or I get a squareish outline where the spray has gone over the stencil. It's really frustrating because I'm already an outlier in many ways since I'm not using white gesso, butterflies or the sorts of phrases that I call "fortune cookie" phrases (as in "believe in yourself" or "you are beautiful") or the single word stickers like "Love" or "Dream".

So since I'm already going to have an uphill climb, should I try to go with whats already popular in mixed media art right now? I don't know how well I'd be able to keep up with that but I don't want to keep going through so much effort in order to write articles that no one will want to read.

Hi Angelcide
I honestly can feel you. It is a point that I was and get into once in a while.

I will suggest that you have to settle some things with yourself. These are:
1. Have a dream of what you want to achieve with your online business.
2. Design a personally realistic programme of activities.
3. Within the programme of activities, begin with small targets.
Once you achieve the small targets, enlarge the targets once you gain confidence in what you are doing.
4. Toast/entertain/celebrate yourself on little achievements. That has a way of helping your confidence.
5. Be resolute. Quitters don't win.

And remember, Affiliate Marketing is a marathon, not a dash.

Segun

If you can each day do but if you can do at least once a week, that's a start. The best is 3.

Sounds like your doing pretty well, Angel! You'll get the hang of it, the more you do it!

Jeff

The general 'rule of thumb' is to try to produce 3ish pieces a week consistently. That seems to work for most folks. Good job!!!

Right now I'm not doing that at all. Thanks for responding though.
