Well first off congratulations! Now to tell you what you're being congratulated for :)

Google needs to come by and check out your site so it knows what you have on your site so it can figure out when to offer your site to people in the search results. This is called indexing. Basically a program pulled up your site, scanned all the content, and recorded it. This will happen plenty more times because Google will want to see if anything has changed. The big thing about the first time is that you now know that Google knows you're out there. Now you can start focusing on keyword targeted articles to show up in the rankings.
