Re-surfacing after a long while and upgrading.FINALLY! YAY!
I'm glad to be back on track and focused on starting my online business (hence the cover image #focused). In the tittle I mentioned re-surfacing after a long while and one may ask what a long while is. It turns out I had logged out of Wealthy Affiliate for 8 months and 8 days.
Why did you leave? You may ask... and what made you decide to come back? I'll start by answering the first question (obviously...that's the only thing that makes sense...anyway...). I left for two reasons, I had an experience with a previous affiliate marketing company that left me apprehensive. WA was different from the get go and that is why I was initially excited to join. I then mentioned my decision to a friend whose general business decisions I respect, in order to gather her thoughts on it and she was not very supportive, and she seemed to be of the opinion that I should I excercise extreme caution given my past experience (which is understandable). So without giving it much thought, and while also using the excuse 'life gets in the way', I gave up temporarily on building my online brand on WA and decided to shelf the project for later, much, much later.
I made the decision to return when I decided to really do my homework and think about what the longterm results would be. I also wanted to establish an online business that would ensure a steady source of income. Upon rejoining and finally starting my website (hurray!), I realized WA has a community like no other. You have access to help almost 24/7 and most importantly for me, you have the ability to blog and inspire and motivate people which has always been my desire.
I will end with this, it is okay to seek advice from people you trust, but be wise with what you do with that advice because some of the best well-wishers may turn out to be naysayers holding you back. Think clearly and carefully and do your own research with an objective state of mind. Lastly, don't let life's challenges deter you, hold on to hope, never give up and work hard, because where there's a will there's a way.
As depicted in my profile pic, always remember: the sky's the limit!
