Thinking Positively
In recent times I have become a big advocate of The Secret. If any of you have seen the film or read the book you'll know what I mean.
The Secret popularizes the Law of Attraction. This can be summed up very briefly in a nutshell: positive thoughts lead to other positive thoughts which in turn lead to success.
I have gone through much of my life being a cynic. 26 years in a classroom in front of teenagers probably encouraged that perspective. One thing I have learned, however, is that when you are down nothing seems to go right for you. If you perceive that things are going badly, it is usually the case that more things will go wrong for you.
Anyone who reads my profile here will see that I have been through tough times. Quite recently, however, I have begun to reinvent myself. Indeed one of my fellow Waers, Maria (appropriately know here as ReinventMe) showed me an amazing life coaching course, called the Reinvention University, where life coach, Larry Lewis, has made me have come to have a good hard look at myself.
One of the key things to come through has been the importance of positive thought. And the more I have tried it, the more I have begun to see that it works. The more positive my thoughts are, the more positive things seem to be happening around me. A lot of things have changed in my life in the last few months, and they all seem to be for the better.
Sometimes the thoughts seem to get the desired result in a totally bizarre way; totally outside the square. Several times, after I have had what I thought to be a setback, I have had a deep think about what has actually happened and it has dawned on me that I have ended up with a end result that what I really wanted.
Our current task has been to learn to like ourselves. When you have been knocked down, and you can easily see the mistakes you made along the way, it is easy to focus on your weak areas. However the truth is that we are all people with huge potential. Many other people can see out potential. For most people their biggest critic is themselves.
So make a real effort, over the next few days. No matter how bad things are, remember to stop and have gratitude for the good things you do have. And remember that we all can reach our goals. Make certain that you constantly think positively and you will, in time, achieve what you want.

Hey great post, I am still a cynic, but if you don't believe in yourself why should anyone else. Glad the law of attraction is working for you mate
Thanks for the comment. I can't always predict how it will work, and sometimes it seems to be in the most bizarre way, but I definitely have noticed a difference since I have been thinking positively
