Writing insightful comments for traffic!

Kyle, in his probably most popular post, "Need website comments? the give and take comment thread" explains the importance of commenting on other's websites. This post is also an amazing platform to get people acquainted, and more importantly building network. Almost in an hourly basis I get notified about someone asking for comments and giving comments back. Many WA beginners follow the training and eventually goes through the comment section. Once they built their website, they're going to ask for some comments on it.

Why?

To generate traffic! Google not only likes good quality posts, it promotes websites who constantly get 'views' or traffic. Not only that, as you leave your mark on a page, you also increase your visibility not only to Google but to others who visit the pages you comment on.

The key is to read through the post and engage in it. Don't just skim or scan quickly through it and leave a generic comment like 'Great article'or 'Very interesting'. Rather comment extensively on a point that genuinely intrigued you or add on to the content. Not only you engage other visitors after you but they can also see that you're a fellow trustworthy authority on the subject - leading to clicks to your name (Gravatar) and to your website.

So my advice? Take advantage of the give and take platform Kyle set up for us and keep on commenting. You'll also learn something as you read more whilst broadening your network.

Go outside of WA too, and visit blogs and websites. Read it and comment. Repeat 5000 times and you're bound to get results. Trust me it works.
