When is a sale not a sale?

Could I get some feedback from anyone with experience regarding ClickBank and other affiliates, please?

I have received the following comment on one of my product reviews.

"I have experienced positive outcomes since beginning my listening. Thank you for all the help you have given." I take this comment to mean that the guy purchased an audio product through my site and is happy he did.

The review is only a month old and is reviewing a product that is handled by ClickBank. When I go to my Clickbank account, it shows that there is one order form impression and two order forms submit on the same day..... but no sale. Two options exist:

1) Maybe the guy didn't purchase the product from me (so why is he thanking me?)

2) ClickBank hasn't credited me for the sale. Is this possible?

It makes me wonder what is happening because I have 8 product reviews on my site, half of them on page one of Google, and no 'confirmed' sales yet.

I would love to hear your thoughts or experiences.

Many thanks,

Andrew

Many merchants have a period of time when the product could be returned. Often sales aren't approved until that time period has passed.

He may not have actually bought the product. If he wrote that comment as you wrote it here, could be spam.

Do you have any other content on your site besides product reviews? Those shouldn't be the only posts - it's like all you're doing is selling, without any other information on the topic to help your readers get a framework of the subject before making purchases.

FYI, a lot of Clickbank's products aren't great, so is that really what you want to promote?

Many thanks for your comments, Jeannine.

I'll keep an eye on it. maybe it is as you say, that there is a waiting period.

Of 102 posts on my site, only 14 are product reviews. My content is mostly information-based posts.

Clickbank is an easy option. And yes many of their products are not great. However, I have used the products I promote and consider them to be of benefit to readers who are interested in my content.

Have a great day :-)

Does the message not have an email contact, so you can contact them and ask them if they purchased or not

Hi Geoffrey.
Yes, there is an email attached.
I thought of that but wanted to get some feedback first.
I didn't think it would be very professional to ask a customer if they made a purchase on my site. However, it is still an option.

Thanks for the advice

That is a generic comment, they likely were just trying to get a link within your comments. If they have provided a "website URL", and the comment is generic like this, you can almost guarantee it is spam.

Good morning, Kyle.

They didn't provide an email link as part of the comment, and even though the comment is quite general, it serves no purpose without their website link..... other than to thank me for the product review and their subsequent purchase??????

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew, check up smart blogger.com and search for Clickbank guide 2021

Hi.
This site requires me to sign up to access that information. So I won't be doing that at this time.

Many thanks
