Yoast Is My Toast
Yesterday, I discovered Jimbo's Training Video for Yoast. Click to see it.

Yoast is an alternative to the ALL IN ONE SEO and it is a free plugin that you can get from your ADD Plugins on the left side menu of your website and it takes you to the WordPress Plugins Area.
Jimbo has established a good understanding of Yoast and how to use it - something that I am still getting used to and will need to go over his video again a few times to see if I can get all of my lights onto Green. Jimbo makes it all look easy enough, but I only seem to retain a small amount of information, apply it, then go back and complete the next part. That is just the way I do things, but you might just be able to do it all straight away.
In my humble opinion,Yoast gives you a lot more insight into what you should be doing with your website or blog and the way that you set it out relating to the Keywords to use in your Titles or Headings. Setting out the way you write it so that your hard work is easily readable to your prospective clients or followers. Even down to the wording you use, there are hints and tips about to help you.
I had heard about the Yoast Plugin fairly early on upon Joining here but was a little reluctant to try it I thought you had to pay for it but have found out that there is a free version that i am trying now and because I didn't know enough about changing what I considered to be a majorly important plugin such as the All In One Seo. So yesterday, I took the leap of faith and decided to give it a go.
Yoast have a huge team behind the scenes making it all work and is aimed at making the Website and Blog building business so much easier making it a more level playing ground for large and small businesses alike. They provide a huge amount of information of how to use it and it is well worth reading up on it to maximise your sites full potential.
I am excited at the prospect of using this new plugin and have high expectations of what it will do for all of my websites.
I feel as if I am moving on towards a higher level of understanding of what it takes to manage and run my websites regarding the quality content that Kyle always endorses and advises us to implement within our work. After all, we want to work to our best abilities and really showcase just how and what we are being taught here at Wealthy Affiliate. It is definitely not to be sniffed at and I personally am a huge fan and a proud member.
Wealthy Affiliate is not only the only The Best Place to begin your online business that will change your life but it is also Genuine and Honest and Truly Always There To Help You.
Also, I am quietly celebrating the fact that I have just made it into the top 100 within member ranks. That's a Great Feeling.

Great blog, I have been wondering about the Yoast on Wordpress. I will have to look into it more. Thank you.
Hi Andi, perhaps this is a dumb question, but is switching over from AIO SEO to Yoast a seamless process, or do you have to reconfigure everthing again?
What you do is install Yoast as you would any plugin the one with a million users - get the right one first. ACTIVATE.
Install it then you get a big message across your screen saying it has detected All An One SEO do you want that one with a tick box NO, and underneath that is the one you need to tick saying to transfer your all in one settings to Yoast.
Once you have done that and a few other things it asks then you can uninstall All In One, BUT DO NOT UNINSTALL IT FIRST.

Thanks Andi, I took a look at the training a couple of days ago and have to agree it looks like a great SEO plugin. Excellent checklist capabilities, I am just wondering why Kyle recommends AIO SEO plugin instead. Is it down to the quick set up AIO in the beginning and then later on progress to Yoast?
I'm not sure myself and would love to hear what others here, have to say.
Hi TommyK, I am not sure, maybe the training that Kyle did was a little while ago so maybe a bit dated, they are busy updating lots of stuff right now. It could be due to the simplicity as I found that about the share buttons he recommended were not so good either with better alternatives. Things move on so quickly, so maybe Yoast has just become better and more popular.

Thanks Andi, that makes sense and seeing how many here at WA use Yoast, makes it worth considering.
Thanks for sharing this Andi. I checked out Jimbo's training and it looks like Yoast is well worth trying. And congratulations on your ranking!

Once you get Yoast down, open your free account with onpage.org. You can work on some of the internal factors of seo. :)
Really? There's more to do? Phew, it's never ending the amount of things you can do to one website. I will have a look at that too. Thanks very much.

Hi Andi
Nice Blog, I am using only Yoast because it is easy to understand and is one of the most popular SEO plugins. Like everything it will take a little figuring out at the start, but ultimately I really like using Yoast.
And congrats on reaching the Top 100.
Thank you, I feel really proud.
