Power of meditation
Meditation has been around for centuries which has been overlooked in today’s stressful life. My day job is so stressful that I always suffer from anxiety, burnout and stress.
I always tend to look out for temporary solutions to these emotions such as watching a film, checking my Facebook. Sometimes I use non healthy strategies such as smoking and drinking when I overly anxious and stressful.
I then decided to sit down and think about root cause of these problems and how to overcome it. Then I came across meditation which was new to me although it has always been there. I started off and was bored in my first couple of sessions but I persevered. Gradually I noticed that meditation equipped me with long lasting solutions to my problems as opposed to temporary distractions offered by strategies I mentioned above.
I now do 10 minutes of meditation to investigate my feelings and emotions and everyday I discover something new about myself. I am very thankful to this ancient remedy which has helped me to identify myself

Meditation raises your level of awareness, without the individual practitioner being aware of it fully. It is what the practice of yoga is mostly all about. Calm mind and alert spirit. It reaps tons of rewards. So good of you to have found that path. Thank you for sharing.

I have often thought of trying meditation or yoga. Is one better than a he other or do you do them at the same time?
Thanks
Michelle
I think yoga is more inclined towards physical health whereas meditation is for mental health. Both are equally important.
Cheers and thanks for commenting
There is meditation inside of yoga. It teaches you to do rhythmic breathing to slow down your mind and body rhythms . The stretches that you do in yoga are designed to keep you healthy and flexible and ready for meditation.
