My Super Affiliate Progress

Hello wonderful WA members!

I want to share some thoughts on the Super Affiliate Challenge, my progress, and a few obstacles I have had to overcome. It has definitely tested me more than a few times but I'm still here, and with every obstacle, I overcome it seems to get a tiny bit easier. Kyle did mention that we will find it difficult from time-to-time, and we may even feel like it's just too hard. I can now relate to this. When this happens, I tell myself "keep going ... keep going ... I hope I can keep up. I know it will be worth it later on".

The first day when Kyle blogged about a special training program called SAC, I wasn’t sure that I could actually be part of it. It seemed to be a bit of a fantasy for me.

1. I didn’t think I would be accepted.
2. I didn’t think I would qualify because I was relatively new and didn't know much about affiliate marketing.
3. I have heavy time commitments for two other jobs.
4. I felt scared of failing.

We are fast approaching the completion date for the first assignment. It's been really hard, and although I haven't finished all the projects yet, I'm confident I'll get them done in time. Nine (9) days to go!

Time goes by fast. It feels like it was yesterday; I was planning my schedule to start the SAC.

Four (4) weeks in and I have created eight (8) posts which have all been indexed by Google. 4 more to go to meet the goal! I thought my calendar was already full, but with some juggling, I have managed to squeeze more in.

Some of the free tools suggested by WA are really good. Google Analytics and Search Console are great tools. I am amazed that they are free.

Check your progress and make sure your posts are correctly indexed. I had a few headaches with the indexing such as the robots.txt file having an issue. Site Support fixed this for me quickly which was great. I've read a lot about indexing issues. It's an area that needs constant attention, and you need to get good at fixing issues as they arise, or they will stack up and overwhelm you. I was pulling my hair out on several occasions.

Wealthy Affiliate is a platform that I want to promote. Why?

Because I think the platform is excellent and deserves to be promoted so as many people as possible have the opportunity to join and see if affiliate marketing is right for them. So many people (like I did not too long ago) don't know how to get started, and if they do decide to start, they don't have any road map of how to reach any goals for an online business. This road map is what I really like about WA. It lays out a step-by-step plan for me to follow, and I can do it at my own pace. Well, sort of ... Now that I'm in the SAC, I have to do it at Kyle's pace ... LOL!

With the training here I can confidently share that I can now create websites, know what a plug-in is, what a keyword is, and what SEO means. None of that was in my vocabulary at all in the past. It's almost like I've learned a second language.

I failed badly back in 2012 trying to build a website, and it took me six years to finally find WA and get started again. That's much valuable time lost. I wish I had found this opportunity sooner and I hope I can help many people sign up so they will not have to lose all those years as I did. Sometimes I imagine where I would have been today if I had found WA six years ago. However, I have to let it go and focus on where I'll be in a few years from now.

I am excited and look forward to learning new skills as I move forward. In 2020 I will be able to commit more time to this, so my progress will gather speed.

Dedication

I have been spending time learning as much as I can, and follow the guidelines Kyle has put in writing for us. I really appreciate this.

I believe it's essential to treat others as I would like to be treated. I have received amazing feedback from so many members when needed help.

We all have different strengths and weakness. Help is always around the corner here with the community. I am amazed that such successful people give their time to help out the new members.

Live Sessions

I would recommend participating in the live sessions. You will learn plenty of things that you don’t know. Personally, I had to rescheduled my Fridays to participate as much as possible.

My main focus is to ensure that my website is dedicated to helping those looking for a REAL platform where they can get educated about affiliate marketing or start their own online business. Maybe they just want to become a blogger, or sell courses, or sell Amazon products.

If I can get them to take a look at WA, I'm sure they'll see the value and how it can help them give them a better chance at succeeding with their online business.
