If you don't know WHY, the how and what won't matter

So its 7:40am here in my city, I am sitting on my bed - waiting for my tea to be finished and really, really upset. I am missing my 4th day of work this week, because something has got a hold of my stomach and is making me super sick. Every day I miss is roughly $100 I am not putting in my pocket next week on payday.
How sillly is that? I'm literally in tears because my lively hood depends on me waking up at 5am and going to work 8.5 hours in an office doing a mind numbing task that serves no real purpose other than putting money in the pockets of the company owner.

Last night, for about the 5th time this year, I watched Simon SInek's talk on "Start with Why" - and if you haven't seen it, I highly suggest you do! It was an eye opener for me and really changed the way I think and speak to myself.

Anyway, I opened my WHY book - a little notebook I started a while ago where I wrote little things like "retire my parents" "pay my brothers school loans" "be able to throw away my alarm clock" - you get the point...these were the things I use to drive me when I want to give up and join the rest of the herd.

I realized there is always one big WHY - and everyone has one, it is just a matter of being honest with yourself and uncovering it! My one big why is hard to put into one word - but if I had to, that word would be FREEDOM. I want the freedom abundance brings - the ability to choose how I spend my days, the ability to afford a comfortable and abundant life for me and my whole family, and the freedom to be able to give back without having to check the budget or worry about missing another sick day! I want to stop looking at price tags and I want to be able to afford the absolute best care my aging pets deserve!

Once I made that realization, taking this sick day was no longer a source of stress. Now I know I have a bigger plan in place, and I need to take care of myself first, if I'm going to achieve all that freedom!
