I Beat Home Depot !
I know this isn't guaranteed to last, and no sales yet, but I wanted to share something that was discovered this evening. Just as the WA training instructs, I...
- Chose a product to review
- Wrote my review - in great detail
- Researched keyword phrases relentlessly - every combination I could think of
- Found two keyword phrase "gems" with decent traffic and very low competition
- Used those two phrases in my headline, in the first two paragraphs
- Worked lots of other high-traffic keywords in throughout the copy
- Posted it
- Added it to Google's index
- Shared it on Facebook, Twitter and Google+
- Waited
When searching with private browsing turned on, and also in a second browser while logged out of Google (both without using quotes around my keyword phrase), these are the search results (rankings):
- Amazon
- Amazon
- My Site
- Home Depot, etc.
Even if I don't get faster, though, having consistent sales as a result of very detailed reviews will make them worth all of the effort. Time will tell. For now, the waiting game continues as I watch for clicks on the affiliate links, then sales.

Great work Bart, I found just punching in the keyword phrase without my Domain name gave me good ranking and still comes up with my name as the author and my Domain name is shown also. So the keyword or keyword phrase to me is the way to get good ranking. All the best in going forward.
Very impressive achieving those results in the first 1-2 weeks. Even for my low hanging fruit keywords, I haven't come anywhere near the top 10 on Google without quotation marks around the keywords. Any secrets to the speed of those rankings? That's awesome, man!
Jaaxy listed the QSR as 0 (zero) for the two keyword phrases I used in the title and first 1-2 paragraphs. That had to help. Other than that, I have no idea. I'm too new at this!
