Did the 120 people just click the link I put in FB?
Three days ago, I thought of putting in my FB status what I was doing and that was creating a website here at WA. It was also some sort of advertising and I was curious what it will bring.
Here's a snapshot of what I wrote :
I shortened my link using the Google URL Shortener and up until today I had about 120 clicks. Please see the image below...
Those were clicks coming from different countries like USA, Canada, Ukraine, UK, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Netherlands and the Philippines.
I was wondering was the link just clicked and those who clicked it didn't even bother to try to "build a website"? Even 1 person?
Guess my clicks were included in those numbers but let's say I clicked it 20 times which I didn't so there were 100 clicks still to consider. And nobody actually continues.. they were all just clicks.
Have I done it right? Was it okay to advertise?
I've tested the link and it brought me to the image above with my own link. So it worked okay.
Maybe I should have added a little bit more information about how to build that website to arouse their curiosity.
And I guess I am not lucky yet, not my time yet. And of course probably those people are not really interested.
I am not at all discouraged only a little bit disappointed. sigh...and... smile :) I will keep on going, that's a promise.

Great question! Perhaps they need to have a link that takes them to another place in WA first so that they get to know the community and what they are getting into first? Keep in mind that, in sales, "People won't care about you until they first know how much you care about them."
120 clicks is AWESOME!! If you can get the right link to get people familiar with the service and the community first . . . you have a winner!!

You have not done anything wrong in advert you place. In fact the advert was well organised and wordings well stated, but what I noticed with Facebook advert is that people are tired of reading and taking action. But as you said it might be that you will be lucky in some other times. Try again you might succeed
