Ok, It's time to get serious.
FIRST POST IN OVER A YEAR
I purchased WA in November of 2017. That's a little over a year and a half. Yet, here I sit. First blog post has yet to be written here on WA. I've started a few websites, worked on them here and there but haven't ever really been consistent with them. At all. When I saw the words "Create your first post" tonight, I'll admit, the guilt was there.
INSPIRED BY A NEW MEMBER
Today I was inspired by a new member's post, Sara Poyner. @SaraPoyner became a new member last month and is already in the top 200 rank. That is incredible. I looked through her page and saw nothing but hard work, consistency, persistency, and dedication. That is the answer. I've known that's the answer for a long time. So why haven't I done it yet?
WASTING TIME STOPS TODAY!
Part of me knows that once I dive in, a lot of my time will be "sucked up." But why do I see it that way? It's not like scrolling through Instagram is getting me anywhere. If I have allowed Instagram to "suck up" my time, why can't I dedicate my time to something more meaningful that will help me accomplish my dreams. I have mismanaged my time for quite a long time and it stops today.
ACCOUNTABILITY JOURNAL
This will be my accountability journal. This is where I will check in with the community as well as myself to document what is and is not working. I love that there's a community with like-minded people to share goals with and ask questions when I get stuck.
YOU'VE ALWAYS GOT MY BACK, WEALTHY AFFILIATE
I love WA and the training there is to offer. I love the way it is organized and managed. I have yet to see an affiliate and website building site half as good as this. One thing I am learning about myself and even the "Internet Generation" is that there is so much information out there that we sometimes take for granted what is there. I think the reason for that is because we feel an information overload. We have to sort through what is and is not valuable to us. Maybe that's my excuse for not working on my dreams like I should have been, that I felt overwhelmed with other information. Nevertheless, I am thankful WA has stayed true to what it was meant for, creating and training online entrepreneurs.

Wow Amber, thank you so much, I am humbled by your praise!
All I did was take the time I would usually waste on social media or watching Tv and put it into connecting with the wonderful people at WA, then I put it into the training, and then I put that time and energy into my website.
It has taken hard work and discipline. There I days, I don't feel like writing but, I made a plan. I have a grid of 100 squares and each time I write a post I tick it off. My aim is to write 100 in 6 months.
I visit WA daily and get inspired.
to be honest I think it is the sheer determination to not have to work for a boss at a minimum wage job, just so I can pick my children up from school. I am not aiming big, it wouldn't take much to replace my current income, and then who knows!! I would love to travel with my family! The world is our oyster!

So true, Sara. Trading the wasted time on social media to WA will be a game changer for me.
That's a brilliant idea to have a grid of 100 squares and check them off.
*Currently printing off my own grid to check off squares when I post!
I am a very visual person and this will be just the thing for me. Just like when I had the goal to pay off my house, I needed a visual reminder each day of what I was doing and why.

I am visual too! and often put myself under too much pressure to succeed and end up getting disheartened or burnt out. So the squares is a nice simple way to achieve one thing a day! easy xx : )

Also when I was doing my degree I was struggling to write my dissertation and my professor said, make it as simple as 1,2,3.
So..
1) have you written or researched for your website today?
2) have you written an update post on WA today?
3) have you read one other persons post on WA today?
3 simple steps and it doesn't take that much time (honest) I research one day and then write the next. That can be adapted to weekly instead of daily if it needs to be. Writing once/twice a week is sometimes just as affective. Then just check in WA once a day.

Deal! I have already printed my squares and wrote @TimMurphyRN 's suggested saying on the side of it. It is great to have such a supportive community. Such a "simple" suggestion can easily make a tremendous difference.

Very nice work, Amber. You bring out a lot of good points.
You wouldn't know it by the numbers but I've been concentrating more on writing than the website basically because I'm very technologically challenged. Good job .
