Don't approve feedback as comments

I know there has been lots of posts in the last couple months about what are good website comments and what is website feedback. So please read those.

This post is about not approving poor website comments...especially those that are feedback instead of comments!

I was just browsing a site through Site Comments and this post had 4 comments already on it and 3 of them were clearly feedback and had nothing to do with the actual content of the post!

They said stuff like "I think you'll make a lot of money with this niche" and "your website looks really professional" and worse "I wrote a comment on another post to to help you out"

These are not good comments to have on your website. When an organic visitor comes across your site and reads this your credibility in your niche just dropped big time!

Your options:

Edit: If it is mostly good with only a line or 2 that are inappropriate then you can edit it. You can also edit spelling and grammar!

Reject it: If it is just no good do not approve it! You spent time leaving good feedback or comments in order to earn the credits to receive something in return. Make sure you receive something that is appropriate and helps your website instead of making you look like a new, inexperienced website (even if you are). If you continue to approve feedback as comments then those members never know they are doing it incorrectly. So don't feel bad about rejecting a poor comment!

Now, I'm going to go leave an awesome, relevant comment for the website I used in my example. :)
