Frustration!
OK so this is an attempt to see if the source of my frustration can be fixed. I have chosen a different theme so that when you see there is content there and not just a picture...but because I have featured images and I can't seem to successfully change the size of them when you click on each post the featured image takes up most of the post.
When I remove the featured images it makes it pretty bland in comparison to having an image represent each post.
So now on my website it you visit it you will see the top half has no featured image, the bottom half does....is there any solution to this????
Thank You.
Amanda

Ok, I just figured out how to resize image. Go to Post, add new, go to the right side bar. It will say image. Upload an image. Choose an image. Look to the upper right hand corner. It says edit image. Click it. At that point, it brings you to a point where you can edit the size of the image.
I did that but all it did was distort the original picture, didn't actually make it smaller on my post.
Hey Amanda.
I think the "green lettuce" picture that appears behind your content is the "Background" picture. So if you want to take it off, you'll have to go to "Appearance", then to "Customize" then to "Background Image" and delete it.
As for the featured pictures, every theme shows them differently so I think you'll just have to play around with different themes and see which one you like best.
I hope this helps. I wish there was a better answer that I could give you.

The background picture isn't causing my problem, I took it off and put it back lol just to see, its the featured images that I like the look of and I can't seem to resize them. They take up all the space on my posts, I guess I'll have to keep trying different themes...thank you.
I see. Sorry for not understanding well. When you said that the image was only appearing on the bottom, I thought you meant the background picture because it only shows partway.
Yes, that's the only thing that I can think of. You're welcome.
I was trying to resize it in wordpress and I can't do it there either. What I'm trying to do is add another picture beside the featured image and I can't.
Hmm.. there can only be one featured image, in my experience.
Why don't you try combining the image and making it one, so the image you're trying to put BESIDE your featured image shows up, as PART of your featured image?
I am with you! To really customize my home page seems ridiculously complicated, especially with images. I will be waiting with you for an answer!

Well, I wouldn't even know where to begin with this questions, because quite frankly I have no clue what you're talking about as this is really foreign to me. lol. I am sure I will do this as well, from what I can gather.
Hope people chime in, so I can get the answers as well.
Much luck, and hope it gets figured out for you!
