Hi WA family,
I’ve been offline for the past three days, and I wanted to share why, especially since this community has become such a meaningful part of my daily rhythm.
A super typhoon recently swept through our area here in the Philippines, and as is often the case during these storms, we experienced a prolonged power outage. Living in a country that faces multiple typhoons each year, power interruptions have become a familiar challenge. But this one hit harder than usual.

Without electricity, I couldn’t work on my website or stay active in the WA community. My two small power banks helped keep my phone alive just long enough to check in briefly, but they weren’t enough to power my laptop. That meant no writing, no editing, no engagement, and a lot of waiting.
This experience reminded me of the importance of being prepared, especially when building an online business in a region prone to natural disasters. I’m now seriously considering investing in a larger power bank that can support my laptop. That way, even in the middle of a storm, I can continue working and stay connected.
If you live in an area where power outages are common, I’d love to hear how you stay productive during those times. Let’s learn from each other and build resilience into our routines.
Grateful to be back online and reconnecting with you all.
