What 13 Hours Without Power Taught Me About Scheduling
Hi WA fam,
Imagine waking up at 4 AM to a sudden power outage; no warning, no internet, and no way to work online. That’s exactly how my day started today. Later on, I found out it was a scheduled 13-hour power interruption (4 AM–5 PM) that had been announced days earlier… which I completely missed.
Oddly enough, I wasn’t stressed.
I had already scheduled my posts ahead of time on my Facebook page, Pinterest, and YouTube, and I had just published a new blog post. So even without electricity or internet, my content still went out as planned.
Instead of worrying about not being able to work online, I spent the day doing things I usually rush through or postpone. I bonded with my toddler, prepared our front yard so I can add more plants, did some general house cleaning, and even took a nap with my son, which I rarely get to do.
Today became a quiet reminder of how powerful simple systems can be. Scheduling didn’t just keep my business running; it gave me peace of mind and the freedom to be fully present with my family.
When you schedule your content ahead of time, your business can keep moving, even when life presses pause.
💬 Have you ever had a moment where scheduling or automation saved your day? I’d love to hear your story.

This is such a powerful reminder. Life doesn’t pause for our businesses, but good systems make sure our businesses don’t pause when life happens. I love how scheduling gave you both peace of mind and presence with your family.
That’s the real win
Peter
Exactly, Peter. I'm actually grateful for power interruptions; they give me a reason to take a break from my business. Once or twice a month should be acceptable.
Oh yes! Whenever he sees me on my computer, he always says, "I don't want Mama to work." Today, he followed me around while I cleaned up the front yard 😊.
Hi Alice,
Scheduling posts is not something I have done. It clearly eased your mind, and that is very healthy. The more prolific creators on this platform use scheduling and it is something I need to explore.
Dave
It's very helpful, Dave. We just need to find time to batch-create posts and then schedule them ahead of time.
Yes - time - one of the most valuable commodities we have and often fritter away (I'm so guilty!)

For me i get worried when the sun not come out in the day because I'm using solar electricity also I can't afford to buy data I'm not working my mom give me $1, to $5 every month but right now I'm using WiFi in home I'm doing my business very well in home
Solar power is a fantastic idea. We actually use solar panels in our front yard overnight, but I don’t think we’re ready to switch completely to solar energy just yet.
I’m glad to hear that you can run your online business using Wi-Fi. As long as the connection is strong, your work should go smoothly.
Thank you have a good time
