My First Buy Me a Coffee Supporter! โ
Hi WA family,
I wanted to share a little milestone with you all today because you are the community that truly understands our journey.
I received my very first supporter on Buy Me a Coffee! They generously gave 50 Australian dollars. ๐
Back in June, I decided to set up Buy Me a Coffee on my site as an alternative to Google AdSense. Since my site is in the Christian niche, Iโve always wanted to keep it as ad-free as possible. Instead of cluttering it with ads, I thought, why not invite those who truly value the content to support the work directly?
Itโs humbling to see that step of faith beginning to bear fruit. This first supporter reminds me that the effort we put into creating quality content really does impact lives, and that people are willing to show appreciation when we offer genuine value.
I wanted to share this little milestone with you all as encouragement: if youโre putting in the work, stay faithful. The results may not always come overnight, but they do come. Sometimes in small, beautiful ways that give us the boost we need to keep going.
Iโm excited to keep creating meaningful, ad-free content that serves my readers well. And Iโm so grateful for communities like WA, where we can celebrate these wins together. ๐
๐ How about you? What small wins have you celebrated lately? Letโs encourage each other by sharing them below!

Hello, thank you for your encouraging article. I know 'buy me a Coffee' - the idea is very brilliant. I have already used it for buying a coffee for someone living in Berlin, Germany. You have pointed out that results may not come overnight. That is exactly the point in Network Marketing. We have to be patient. But we can celebrate when we see the results of our effort. Thanks again.
I discovered Buy Me a Coffee about 3 or 4 months ago, and I'm really glad I did. ๐
Thanks, Friedrich.
Congrats Alysanna๐

Thank you, Acken.
I was initially hesitant about whether to set up a Buy Me a Coffee page on my site. However, receiving a message of support that said, "Thanks for your hard work," confirmed that I am providing value through my work.

Good morning Alice,
Thank you for your blog post, it's great to hear your story. It's also wonderful that you have a Christian website, that's a great thing to do. I also have a Christian/news website and associated YouTube channel.
As you mentioned, that's great to see your step of faith being rewarded and bearing fruit.
This is also something that I had thought about doing, but I haven't, as yet. I was wondering about either buy me a coffee or PayPal. I'm told that, buy me a coffee, is almost a more polite way of asking for a donation. Does "buy me a coffee" take a percentage, Alice, or is it all free?
Let's hope in faith that more people start buying you coffees!
All the best.
Roy
Hi Roy,
Thank you for your kind words!
I have included PayPal as an additional option for support, alongside Buy Me a Coffee. However, while Buy Me a Coffee is featured in the sidebar widget, PayPal can only be found on the Support Us page. โบ๏ธ
Yes, Buy Me a Coffee does take a percentage of the contributions made.
Hello Alice,
It's a pleasure!
That's interesting that you are using both, Alice, I wonder which one will work better over time. I'm surprised that you can't have a sidebar widget for PayPal. For your interest, I've just asked ChatGPT about this and it says that you can use PayPal. I can send you details if you want me to, Alice.
Yes, I thought that maybe the case regarding Buy Me A Coffee.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
Roy
Yes, we can also have a sidebar for PayPal, Roy. However, I chose to use Buy Me a Coffee instead. As you mentioned, the latter seems like a more polite way to request donations. ๐
If I'm not mistaken, Buy Me a Coffee takes a 10% fee.
