A Reminder of Why I'm Here
Good morning to anyone reading this and anyone in general really. It is currently 6:41 am here in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and I am up drinking coffee trying to prepare myself for a long work day. I'll be working as a barista from 8 am to 2 pm and then I will serve later tonight from 6 pm to 11 pm. I have an 11 hour work day stretched across 15 hours and I'll probably make less than $100 for the day.
It's times like these when I really reflect on where I am and where I am going in life. If I hadn't gone to college to quit after 3 years and no degree then I wouldn't be in 2 dead end jobs just trying to make ends meet. What's worse is that I am 23 and living at home paying down my student debt because I can't afford to finish school and pay for my own place at the same time. I'm so unhappy with my current financial situation that it's sad. I know I'm smarter than this and I know that I deserve so much more for myself.
I truly believe that Wealthy Affiliate is the answer to my prayers. I have looked into making money online before but always felt I was being scammed when they asked for my credit card info and a ridiculous amount of money for God knows what in return. Not only is this one of the most supportive online communities that I have ever seen but I also am not being asked for money. I joined this site for free so what have I got to lose. Yes, I do believe the premium membership is worth the investment given the unlimited amount of resources but it still isn't a requirement.
I'm honestly so excited to learn how all this works and really get started on my own website that I find myself waking up with a little more hope every day. I know I won't make money over night and it is only going to get better with time but there is still obvious potential. If this is all working for so many other people then why not me? I work hard and I really do put forth effort. I just feel like I got lost along my own path and right now things aren't too bright but that doesn't mean I can't change my own story. I want to rewrite it from here on out.
I'm finding this blogging idea to be quite helpful. I think I'll keep posting these for myself and others that feel they can relate. Wish me luck and thank you for the support! I believe we can all accomplish great things here if we are willing to try. All the success stories aren't for nothing and I believe I'm writing my own now.
