An Open Letter of Invitation Regarding Accountability
Life Gets Crazy Sometimes
I have to be honest...I have been slacking and not working at all on my business. In my defence, I just got married and we went from a courthouse wedding to a full on white wedding and managed to pull it off in 3 weeks! So that was awesome, and after recuperating from one of the most exhausting marathons of my life - it was truly insane, but definitely worth it - I’m ready to get going, and for real this time.
Now that life has returned to normal, I have decided to throw myself back in - 110% - and so in service of that, I decided to write this blog post and just go ahead and lay all my cards on the table, so to speak.
Insecurity Will Have You Spinning Your Wheels
As I have admitted before, this is my second time here at WA. The first time I was a premium member, I got maybe 3 or 4 posts plus my About Me page and Privacy Policy Page up before I let the voice in my head - you know, the one that’s driven by fear and insecurity - convince me that I couldn’t possibly have anything useful or of value to anyone else to say about anything.
Flash forward a few years and I find myself right back at that very same place, letting that very same voice psych me out, but no more. Last night I realized that the reason I keep getting stuck on my niche is because I’m scared that if I actually do try to do this thing that I’ll end up finding out that I can’t hack it, have nothing of value to share with the world, and am basically a washed up, waste of space.
All of Us Have Something Valuable to Share
But come on, that can’t be true. Because all of us have something of value to share, and even in the unlikely event that we don’t, it is entirely possible to learn as you go, I mean, hello - research! Because I am totally capable of learning, and so are all of you. So no more wishey-washy, maybe I should try this niche, or maybe that niche would be better. No. More. BSing!
I am just gonna run with it, do my best, and reevaulate if necessary in 6 months. Which brings me to the real reason for this blog post...
Accountability, with a little help from my friends
Which is accountability, and how can I create a framework to assist me in my efforts to improve my work ethic and my faith in myself. The best thing I could come up with was to leverage the WA community and see it I could find others who are struggling to overcome self-doubt and insecurity and try and form a little accountabilty mastermind group that we can use to support and push each other forward! I was thinking maybe we could meet once or twice a week for and hour or two via skype or something and talk about where we are currently and where we would like to be and help each other get there and also stay accountable to each other regarding our content or any business related goals that we think the mastermind group could be helpful in.

Hi, Alli congratulations on getting married and all the best for your future.
In the beginning, we can, all harbor those feelings of insecurity. I think that you nailed it when you said we all have something to offer, we need to believe in ourselves and believe that what we are bringing will help folks out.
It does.
Keep on going get involved and see where it takes you, and sometimes it can take a little bit to make some connections, so what I am saying is don't get discouraged.
